Love the design of the hotel so much !! Despite the budget my hubby and I set for hotel stay, we still went with it because we love boutique hotels and the location was considered quite central. I fell sick during the long journey to Greece (from Singapore).. but I was glad that I chose a great hotel to stay! It was so beautifully designed and the bedding were very comfy! Spent my first day just resting in the room and only went out for sight-seeing on the 2nd day. Only one thing that I feel they should improve on was the service.. Check-in took a while, and we had to go to the hotel's restaurant for lunch while waiting. Food was good though :)

The qualities that make the New Hotel outstanding have to do with the great staff and convenient location. There's an authenticity in how one is welcomed by the doorman from the curb into the hotel lobby and how the front desk staff assists from check-in to any type of requests and questions. My one complaint is that the commode/shower (no bath) is over-thought and over-designed with the adjacent sink area not behind a closed door - it's open to the entry area of the room. It works, but it's not ideal for guests (even married guests) who desire more privacy or quiet when the other person is sleeping. Athens is a noisy city due to traffic. One complaint is that the sliding doors (with great terrace access) aren't the most up-to-date when it comes to sound-proofing. I'd recommend a high floor on the side street to ensure a quieter stay. All-in-all, a nice hotel with great beds/sheets, abundant breakfast, superior staff, at a good price. I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor facing Lamachou Street.

On the pro side: Good location (in Plaka), nearby the Parlament Buidling, Syntagma Square, etc.
Design furnitures, great bathroom with double (!!) showers, nice rooftop bar overlooking the Acropolis (pricy premium liquors), a gym with different equipments

On the contra: different services are costly there but well, in these kinds of boutique hotels, you pay for what you get (design, hype, etc.).
WiFi was slow

This must be one of the nicest hotels in Athens! Stunning ros, funky decor. Really comfy beds and superb food!!!

Not to mention the best breakfast in town and the awesome rooftop restaurant!

Only drawback is the lack of a swimming pool. All else: perfect.

Would happily stay there again.

This hotel is so fun and funky! Although our room was small, the use of space was so clever and fun! We had a beautiful view of an old church. The bed was very comfortable and provided a much needed rest after a stressful day of traveling to Greece. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful in offering suggestions of what to eat or see as well as arranging travel for us. The breakfast was AMAZING and plentiful! From chocolate croissants to olives to eggs made to order, it was heaven!!! We highly recommend staying in this fun and unique hotel!

I visit this hotel two times and all I have to say is just perfect!!! A design hotel recently renovated from scratch with simply beautiful and cozy habitat. Great view from the roof garden and maybe the best lounge in town at the ground floor. The quality on spirits and the food is in high level. Short but well selected wine list, highly professional staff.

Room Tip: Upper level for better view at night with a glass of wine or breakfast in bed

We met friends, and made new ones, here for a 7 night stay. Our arrival afternoon was spent on the rooftop terrace, sipping drinks, soaking in the view of the Acropolis as we waited for all of our group to arrive. Unique and appealing decor throughout the public spaces and rooms that reflected a changing modern city, steeped with history. The beds were very comfortable, adequate room space and a walk-in bamboo and sand-blasted glass shower with rain head was great. There was also an automatic, nightly turn-down service that left a chocolate truffle on your pillow. If you end up with a room overlooking Fillenon St. (sp?), be aware that the bell tower across the street will have an extended ring, about 4 different times, only on Sunday (may ring daily during the day or at 1800). We had our breakfasts at the hotel - nice setting and super convenient. You can order from your seat or serve yourself. Omelets are available and need to be ordered. And the rice pudding was delicious. It is in a good location, very easy walking distance to a main metro station, Syntagma Square or to the Plaka - souvenirs, casual dining and a short cut to the pedestrian street - Apostolou Pavlou. Syntagma Metro station has a museum of the artifacts found while digging to create the station. The only shortcoming of the hotel was the lack of space and seating for our group (6) to meet when getting ready to set out on our twice daily walking-around-Athens adventures. We did appreciate the self-serve lobby water and sweets table. And the front desk staff was great at giving recommendations for dining, and transportation.

Room Tip: If you end up with a room overlooking Fillenon St. (sp?), be aware that the bell tower across the st...
