This is a nice hotel very centrally located and with superb staff. The view of the acropolis at breakfast is really very special. The breakfast area becomes a nightclub at night and also has amazing views. I would stay there again but noise sensitive people are likely to find the bustling nightclub scene hard to bear. I travel with ear plugs and so it wasn't a concern to me but on the weekend it was pretty noisy and I think some people might be bothered by that. Having said that- I would go back again. It is hard to beat for convenience- you walk about 200 feet to the metro station and all the sights are an easy walk. And- as I said- the staff were helpful and really nice.

You'll see the hotel as soon as you step out of the Metro station;right in front of the Monastiraki Square. The receptionist on our arrival was very accomodating, helpful and friendly. He gave us a map and marked the attractions(ruins) that would be of interest to us.When he knew that it was our fist time in Athens,he gave us a big room with a balcony (for a few additional Euros-found out on checking out but it was ok,not much) and view of the Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis. The views, day or night, were breathtaking.

However, the "room with a view" has its downsides: Monastiraki Square is always full of people, activities, noise. If you are a light sleeper then ask for a quiet room.Although the windows and doors are double-glazed the sounds of drums, shouting people, car honks and everything else can be heard from the room.It usually quiets down at around 2-3 in the morning.

Breakfast was enough to keep you going all morning til lunchtime, at least for us.There were differrent choices of breads, cereals, eggs, cold cuts, cofees and teas, orange and peach juices, butter, jams,Greek yoghurt, fruits.I loved their sausages! The best part was the view of the Acropolis from the breakfast room which is on the top floor. It is also a bar at night, which can be really noisy. We could hear the music and noise from the bar outside our room, but they close the hallway doors at night to keep the noise away from rooms.

There are many cafes/ restaurants ,bakeries, ice cream shops around the hotel, and it is along the high street so if you are "ruined-out/templed-out" you have the shopping option.Syntagma and Plaka are just a few minute-walk from the hotel.

They also booked a taxi for us on our check out day, going to the port (cost 20 euros).

Overall I would recommend this hotel for a decent price, location, cleanliness, staff service.

Ok. If you want a central spot to work from this hotel right on the edge of Monastiraki will give you that. If you want newly renovated, clean, functional rooms you'll get that too. If you want to wake up looking at the Acropolis, that is also available from street facing rooms. The2nd floor provides the views. The staff are accommodating, helpful and can even take your laundry away in the morning and for a small fee, deliver it washed and folded that same evening. However, the rooftop bar is very busy as it offers the best views. The square can also get very noisy and although the rooms are somewhat soundproofed, if you are a light sleeper, you may find the noisy environment a bit difficult to handle. Good value hotel. Walkable for the city sights.

Room Tip: At least 2nd floor and unfortunately facing the square.

We were on the 2nd floor facing the Acropolis. Large and wonderfully spacious rooms. Breakfast and staff were amazing. However, the nightlife in the Syntagma Square was extremely loud, not good for a goodnights sleep !!!

Room Tip: Miss the view for a quiet room at the back of the hotel and enjoy the view with breakfast !

The hotel is right on a square by a Metro station, so it's very easy to get to, but not too noisy (we were on the 4th floor). We had a wonderful view from our room, which was large, clean, and well designed. Breakfast was decent - obviously the view is one of the main draws, but the staff are friendly and helpful as well. One downside would be that the lift is very small (like many Athens hotel lifts?!) so it would be a bit of a pain if you were travelling with lots of luggage or a horde of children... Decent value for money.

Room Tip: Personally, rooms with the Acropolis view are worth it! Light sleepers may need ear plugs, but I th...

This hotel provides excellent value, with a convenient location close to the metro and an amazing view of the Parthenon.

The rooftop bar is very crowded and noisy, so you should ask for a room on a floor not too close to it. A part from this, everything was perfect.

The breakfast (excellent) is on a terrace overlooking the Parthenon-- best breakfast-view ever!
