As a solo female traveler in Athens, I can not speak more highly of this hotel. First of all, it was clean in terms of room (which had a balcony), lobby, staircases, elevator, and breakfast room. The free use of computers and printer in the lobby, was a huge bonus (many hotels charge up to 4 Euros per 30 min, which is outrageous). The reception staff was 100% helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to find maps, make phone calls and provide information about getting around in the city and even outside of the city. My trip to a beach in Sounioun was simple and enjoyable due to this help in providing information. For the most part, one can save money by being able to walk to the Acropolis and surrounding areas of tourist interest and not have to take transit and get a fabulous workout, while doing so. Plus, you can see and stumble upon so much more when you walk. However, if walking is an issue, the Ommonia metro station is a 5 min. walk and takes you right to the areas of interest. And yes, it is true what they say about the neighbourhood, which extends down Athina street toward Monastiraki, there are some very "interesting" and sometimes creepy men wandering the streets in the evening, but I walked alone, and at night too. If you avoid interaction or eye contact with these individuals and keep a strong, fearless attitude, you will be just fine, it's really no different than any other major city and some of its neighbourhoods. And as for pick pockets, well they are found in just about every major city in the world, so once again, being vigilant is all that it takes really. The one thing that I can definitely comment on, is the prices. The prices in Greece on everything (except gas) are really reasonable compared to other Euro countries and meals, shopping, and transit were very inexpensive. People in Athens in general were friendly, helpful, and many spoke English. The restaurant service was exceptional compared to other places I visited. There is so much to see in the Acropolis area alone, that my 6 day stay could easily have been extended. Plus, whether on foot, or by transit, reaching other nearby areas of interest were easily accessible from the hotel. In general, going with the idea that nothing is perfect, nor does it need to be, the slow elevator, or the non-frigid A/C in the room, were really of little consequence in the grand scheme of things, unless you were planning to spend your day in the actual hotel room IN ATHENS!!! But who does that??? Anyway, I do highly recommend this very reasonably-priced, friendly hotel for its location, cleanliness and amenities and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you staff for your help in making my visit a memorable one. One happy visitor from Canada :)

My son and I spent 4 nights at this hotel on a trip to Athens. The rooms are very nice, clean, modern looking, not large but were fine for our needs. Price was 55 Euros.
We liked this location. We walked to the Acropolis area many times. The walk is about 1 mile or 1.4 km. The Omonoia Metro station is 2 blocks from the hotel.
Hotel staff was very helpful with directions etc.
Breakfast was normal for what we found in Greeece.
Elevators were a bit flaky during our stay.
We liked the price and location best.

One tip the staff gave us was the bus from a nearby square (I think it was Omonoia) for very little money. We had a very early flight and it was great to take the bus.
However during peak traffic times, I'd take the train. You can take the Metro to Syntagma then the trail to the airport.

Room Tip: I don't think any of the rooms were better than others.

This hotel is perfect especially for those from the U.S. the rooms are good size compared to normal european hotels. the staff is professional and helpful. the rooms are good size, clean and with AC. free internet in the lobby. close to the metro and many cafes, sovenior shops, and resteraunts. some of the people who hang out it in the area look shady but are completely harmless and don't bother anyone.

We stayed one night at this location on the night before our departure back to the U.S. Frankly, it came with the Delta Dream Vacation package we had booked and only booked it because of the price. Wanted to be in Athens on the last night of our tour and this was inexpensive. What a surprise we had when we checked in. Very nice hotel in the Omonia Square area. Just a short walk to Omonia Square and the Metro system. The lobby was inviting with complimentary juice upon arrival, which was welcoming in the Athens heat! The rooms were large for European standards and very clean. Also included with the rate was breakfast which was quite extensive. Actually, we had to depart the hotel at 6 am and breakfast wasn't served until 7 am, but the front desk opened the breakfast area just for the 5 of us. What customer service! I would highly recommend this property on rate/location and cleanliness!

This is one of those properties that you get what you pay for. Since we weren't intending to spend time in a hotel, it fit the basic basics of a place to stay. Some background to consider: The air conditioning was pretty pitiful, the room looked on another building that was in pretty poor shape, the elevator was sporadic. Staff certainly tried hard to please the guests. Especially liked having the business center so we could print out boarding passes. The neighborhood this is located in is definitely in transition. By day, it seems just okay. Later afternoon & evening, it can creep you out with the type of people who are populating the general Omonia Square area. While a free breakfast is offered, it is the type associated with packaged tours, not the customized, homemade fare you'll find around the country.
