We stayed 3 nights at the Athens Gate before our cruise. Our room was overlooking the back alley, so was quiet, except for the garbage truck on 2 of the 3 nights! The hotel is a very short walk to restaurants and shopping and to the subway station. But, most amazing was the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant. We went for breakfat when it opened so we could catch the lighted view, followed by sunrise. The breakfast was very good. Imagine our surprise when it was a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis!
Everything about the room met our expectations.
