Everything we hoped for. Very 'Greek'. Excellent value in beautiful restaurant, cheaper than some local restaurants. Roof garden was perfect to relax with view of Parthenon and waiter service. Walking distance to all tourist attractions. Knowledgeable staff and clean, up market decor. The breakfast buffet was superb and would suit all tastes and appetites.

We arrived at Piraeus early morning to endure a fight with taxi drivers there - they are unhelpful and surly & their prices do not relect the guidelines given at the port. AVOID them if you can! Our cab to the hotel cost 27 euros (list at port states 13 euros)!!
HOWEVER, arrival at the hotel showed us a much better side of Athenian hospitality as the porter rushed out to meet us and scooped up all our suitcases with a smile.
The hotel is modern, clean and efficient with a warm reception. We stored our bags and went straight out again as it was too early to check in.
On check in we found our room to be spacious with pleasant decor and good bathrooms with tub, shower and hairdryer. One of our rooms overlooked the Acropolis and the other room with balcony faced the quiet street side. Don't worry if you don't get an Acropolis view bedroom because the best view is from the hotel rooftop garden where we had coffee and drinks at 10pm after a long day's sightseeing. Unfortunately we were too late to utilise the jacuzzis on the roof which are closed at 9pm.
Buffet breakfast is an extensive choice of good quality breads and pastries, juices, fruit, yoghurts, toast & cooked eggs & bacon as well as cheeses & cooked meats. Our room rate included this so was good value.
The Acropolis museum is literally around the corner from the hotel as is the metro station at Akropoli-well worth a visit for the antiquities on show there. We utilised the metro and found it to be an excellent service.
The Acropolis museum is a MUST SEE-just 1 euro entry fee, it resembles an upmarket art gallery with equally fabulous views outside the huge windows.. I'd also recommend the restaurant in the museum where we had a delicious light lunch, served to us either inside or on the terrace for just 8euros per person.
The city sightseeing hop on/off off bus is 18 euros for 24hrs-for short breaks its useful.
Don't miss Monastiraki Square in the Plaka and the lovely pavement restaurants/bars around the back which overlook the Acropolis at sundown-magic!
Oh one other thing: Souvlaki (grilled pork/chicken on exquisite greek pitta with onions and grilled tomatoes) at Thanasis-edge of the square-please do not miss this delight!

Very well situated 5 mins walk from new Acropolis museum, and also metro and Plaka area. Tranquil foyer, restaurant on site and also complementary buffet breakfast was excellent. Expensive mini bar but little kiosk outside for water purchase. Also good little restaurant next door. Room fine with pleasant street outlook. Had water jug for tea coffee but no iron, only pressing service. TV boring, only basic news in english. Spa available for extra charge. Well priced internet access in lobby and also staff will arrange tours and check airline tickets. Best thing is the roof garden where you can sit at night and look out at the Acropolis and New Museum all floodlit. It is the best view.

You can't beat the location- 5-8 minute walk to the Plaka, 3 minutes to the Acropolis Museum, 5 minutes to the outer boundary of the Acropolis. Very comfortable room- not large but typically european size. Very clean, comfortable king size bed- suggest you try to get on the upper 2 floors to maximize the view- especially of the Acropolis. Very well attended lobby and lounge area. We had dinners and breakfasts in the hotel, again very good. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel lobby was immaculate with shiny marble floors. Room was typically small but clean and comfortable by european standards. We had a twin room with balcony overlooking front entrance. Housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly. Front desk staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Internet available in lobby on six computers, but at a cost of 2euros/30mins. Rooftop jacuzzis (not hot-tubs!!) were available for use at a cost of 5euros(??), with a great view of the Acropolis, as was the view from the roof-top garden where you can take a drink from your room and enjoy the view. The BEST thing about this hotel is that the location is two short blocks from the Acropolis, 5mins from the Plaka, next door to the Acropolis Musuem, and a safe neighborhood for walking at anytime. We (two females) walked all over Athens without any trouble. Breakfast was included and was one of the better ones of our trip, served in a nice bright room!

The hotel has a great location - no 2 ways abt it. Its a 5 min walk at the most to the New Acropolis Musem and to the Acropolis. The hotel room was clean but defintely dated. For the price I paid, I would have expected a bit more. The staff did put us up in a room with a view of the acropolis (we did not pay to have the view) but the next day, we were asked to move to another room. We did not even realize there was a view of the acropolis until we were told there was one! You had to look up at the top part of the window to see it. If I paid extra $$ for this view, I would have been most dissapointed. The staff was great. The breakfast was good and filling.

I stayed at this hotel over 2 nights at the beginning and end of a trip to the Greek Islands with my girlfriend.

The first visit was incredibly disappointing. We were given a room on the second floor which just had two single beds pushed together and the room decor was like something from a cheap motel. Incredibly dated with no sense of style.

For an expensive hotel it was extremely shabby.

I was going to change my hotel for the return trip because i was so disappointed, but never managed to.

On my return visit i made sure to ask for a room with a proper double bed for me and my partner. This time our room on the third floor was a vast improvement. It was like a different hotel. A massive king size bed, new decor and bathroom, with a balcony overlooking the street.

Much more befitting of the price tag.

It's a great location, but really is a complete gamble whether you get a good room or a shabby one.

The major thing going for it is the nice roof deck where you can have a drink and see the Acropolis.

And also, a common gripe for expensive hotels - you have to pay for internet and can't do it from the room. You have to get a card from the lobby.
