We stayed 3 nights at the E P H mainly because of its fabulous location. The view of the Acropolis is truly fantastic from their roof terrace, where you can either dine or enjoy a drink. The Hotel functions like clockwork and is reliable, however, it is not luxurious and is rather dated, but everything seems to work. We stayed in the Junior Suite 332 which also had the view of the Acropolis. However, on the Sunday morning, we were woken very early by a noisy drilling/engine continuously thumping until we left a 11am. We complained to reception and they replied "WE cannot hear it" and rudely shrugged us off. This really let the hotel down as they could have easily soothed the situation with an apology and promise to look into the disturbance

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the Acropolis from your room, as it is not possible to sit in the roof restaurant without eating or drinking something.

Hotel staff did everything possible to help. Early check in, instructions and advice. The hotel has a small indoor pool in addition to the rooftop pool which was a pleasant surprise. The location in convenient, right in the Plaka, short walk to many of the attractions. Spacious rooms (we stayed in "Triples"). Great breakfast.

Last time in Athens we stayed at Grand Bretagne which was very nice but we realized it would be much more enjoyable to stay inside the Plaka area. The Electra Palace is in a wonderful location, and right next to the pedestrian streets with wonderful restaurants and shops. Less than 10 minute walk to Acropolis. Our room was a little small but very comfortable. Wonderful view from our room of the hilltop with the ruins. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is super high pressure. The breakfast included is ok, not wonderful, but with very good service; great coffee and Greek yogurt so I was happy. The only area which I feel needs improvement are the scarce electrical outlets in the room, which these days are vital for travelers with phones, tablets and camera chargers.

Easy online booking - responded promptly to all enquiries. Very central location - perfect for us as we only had one day. Nicely appointed, very clean and classy.. We took the inclusion of the fixed dinner menu. Spectacular view, generous meal. We stayed in early April, so all was fairly quiet, and service was great.

Room Tip: Request a room with an acropolis view if you can - but either way, you can pop up to the restaurant for great views.

We stayed at Electra Palace for one night at the beginning of our 2 week trip in Greece. You can't beat the location of this hotel. It's in the heart of the Plaka and is walking distance to many shops and restaurants, as well as the Acropolis. We ate lunch at the rooftop restaurant which overlooks the outdoor pool and has amazing views of the Acropolis. The rooms were clean and the accommodations were very nice. I would stay here again when traveling to Athens.
