My husband I stayed at the Acropolis Select for a week in early May. He was in meetings most of the day, while I spent my days wandering Athens. The hotel receptionist was a wonderful sounding board for places to go and how to get there. She called Vougliameni Lake to double-check hours for me, wrote down bus stops so I wouldn't miss them, and let me practice my very limited Greek, explaining nuances of words, and cheerfully correcting my miserable pronunciation.
The hotel's location is amazing for the price - blocks from the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, lots of great cafes, and two central metro stations. The breakfast was great - wonderful Greek yogurt, an unending supply of muesli, thick marmalades, good coffee. And the small elevated bar area was a fun place to end the day, chatting with others there for meetings, practicing Greek with the amiable bar-tender. The street is narrow, and the hotel is modest in appearance, but a very safe, pleasant home-base for time in a very memorable city.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the top floor have views of the Acropolis. And if you take the elevator to the roof, t...

The location of the hotel is its star point. Very convenient to reach from the airport by metro. Waking distance from the 2 main metro stations - Acropolis & Syngrou-Fix. The Acropolis museum, the Pantheon is hardly any distance away. Great area overall - lots of wonderful restaurants and smaller eating joints, souvenir shops. The neighborhood is safe even late at night. Plaka area, Monastiraki, Parliament square are all at a comfortable walking distance from the hotel. Atms, mobile shops all in the vicinity. Most tour operators (for Delphi etc) offer pick up services directly from the hotel.
For the price you payl, its a great deal! Decent size well-furnished rooms, good service, polite staff and perfect location.

The rooms were moderate to small in size with a decent size bathroom & TV. Clean & no complaints. The staff was nice & helpful. The location is a few blocks from the Acropolis Museum and alittle farther from Monistriki Square, but definitely walkable. I was alone at this location & never felt unsafe. I walked everywhere & use there subway system. I never stayed out passed 10pm by myself because the streets got dark & there wasn't a lot of people out so it made me concerned but besides that I loved it.

Staff very friendly. Acropolis literally up the road. Couldnt have asked for more. Safe neighbourhood, walking distance to many great restaurants. The room had a large balcony area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The room was comfortable, nice bathroom, big bed and fridge. Would return to this hotel again.

Stayed here for 4 nights in February 14. Its in a great position to use as a base for visiting the tourist sites however it let's itself down badly with the breakfast. If you are out all day a decent breakfast sets you up for the day. Sadly you won't get that here. By 9am what is left is stone cold and inedible. We had vile coffee and toast each morning only. However the hotel itself is clean with fairly comfortable beds and staff that are lovely. Would stay here if we ever visit Athens again but will find a place nearby for breakfast.

Hotel is very good, excellent access to major tourist attractions, Acropolis, Plaka (old town) are very close. The hotel is in a quiet and peaceful area. Metro and bus stations are within 50 meters. Staff are very friendly, the rooms large and clean with a balcony, but with a very, very bad light. Breakfast is good. Most of recommendation for close to tourist attractions, and not noisy. WiFi free. Safe is free.

Room Tip: Rooms above the reception are guieter, and rooms on the first and the second floor are the best.

Not pretty, but very good access to the main tourist attractions in Athens. Rooms are ordinary but very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was extensive but low quality - like most Greek places, the juice was actually cordial, only here you could feel the grit of the poorly mixed powder in your cup; halfway through the allotted time most things were cold and things that had run out were not replaced. The muesli was the most bland I had anywhere in Greece.
