“Good hotel in Athens”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Good hotel, clean rooms and decent service. Good WiFi. The hotel is well located, with close by bus and metro stations. Clean lobby and well maintenained rooms. Breakfast is nice, however it should be included.

room is big and tidy, location is good, very near to tram station and train station. Many car rental nearby (about 10 to 15min walk), very convenience to pick up car. Price is fair (if book it earlier).

I am leaving Athens today and I just want to say thank you to the Greek people who showed me/us such wonderful hospitality.
Acropolis select was the perfect home base- walking distance to everything. And special shout out to Rainer at the reception. She is professional, engaged and friendly. I had a great time!

The location of the hotel was great. Very close to the acropolis and restaurants.
The only thing that made the experience negative was ironing our door upon checking in to find that it hadn't been cleaned. Sheets all over the place and rubbish. We went back to the front desk and they were apologetic and gave us another room which was fine. So they dealt with it very well- probably just a mix up.
The rest if our stay was great though. They offer a pretty good breakfast! Yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast and coffee/tea.

Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and the breakfast was great! The hotel was right near an underground station so getting to and from the airport was no problem with all our luggage. Only a short walk from main city attractions like the acropolis itself and the new acropolis museum.

We stayed here for 4 nights in total (several weeks apart in different rooms) and found everthing very good. But, it is a mid-range hotel, so don't expect the ultimate in luxury. The rooms are spacious and clean, although they are starting to get a little tired, particularly the bathrooms.
Both of our rooms faced the road, but road noise was minimal as it is a quiet street.
We dined out every night, but the breakfasts were above average. The staff were very helpful and, combined with the hotels position, very close to the Acropolis Meuseum, and only 10 minutes walk from Plaka, make it a very good propisition for a stay in Athens.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May, and i think that we got a good value out of it.

Here is what you need to know:

1) This is a 3 star hotel, don't expect luxury
2) The rooms are pretty small, at least by North American standards. When we walked in into the room, we had a queen size bed, that took about 80% of the room. There was a small desk and a chair, but wasn't even enough space to full open our suite-case.
3) Great Breakfast is served every morning, that fills you up quite nicely. You will not leave hungry in the morning.
4) Location is great, and if you turn right as soon as exit the hotel, and walk for 5 min, you will hit a street filled with restaurants and cafes where you can have a nice lunch or dinner. If you continue walking on the street, for another 5 min you will get to Plaka.

Overall the hotel offers great value for the money, as long as you have the right expectations.
