It was fine and very clean hotel. Good service and fine breakfeast.
The only two thing that my and my wife didn,t realy like, is that long time ahead i booked this hotel to spend one week of our honeymoon in a deluxe room, when we got to the hotel and went to our room it didn,t realy look like a deluxe room at all, We went down and told the help desk but we didn,t not get any help.
Considering the prise we had to pay for the whole week. We do have experince of sleeping in a deluxe room before, even if it various from one hotel to the other...

The second thing is when i booked the hotel i also asked for a taxi to get us from the airport, and they told me at the hotel it will coast med 60 Euro, which laiter we discovered that the taxi take only 37 Euro from 07:00-24:00, and then it coast 50 Euro from 24:00-05:00.

Its realy sade that they treat thier questes in this way, i already sent an email to the director of the hotel and i hope that they will think more about it.

Otherwise in general it was fine hotel, but i wont go back to this hotel.

We came to attend a convention and this Hotel was listed on the suggested lodging list of hotels. It was a great place to stay. The location was close to the Acropolis, and the Plaka, where there were restaurants and shopping. All walking distance. The hotel staff was top notch! Room service, desk, housekeeping, waitstaff all were excellent! The only negative thing was at the rooftop restaurant. Although we had made reservations, and were seated at a table, others were seated and served as we watched and waited. We finally left. We would definitely stay here again, and will recommended it to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor street side, not a problem.

We were visiting Athens for a convention so there were a lot of us staying at the hotel and they courteous and check-in service was quick. We didn't use the concierge or other services much because we were taken care of by our friends but I can say the room my husband and I had was beautiful. Very modern and clean with a large balcony. We went up to the rooftop garden on our last day and wish we had gone up sooner for dinner. It is beautiful and the view of the Acropolis at night is gorgeous. The hotel also has a great breakfast in the dining room. Not just the basics but a full breakfast spread with lots of choices. I would highly recommend it based on the location to the Acropolis and restaurants alone but overall it's a great hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure you are in room on the renovated side. We were in room 457 and it was great. I think the r...

This is a great hotel and my wife and I appreciated it more and more the longer we stayed in Athens. It took about 45 minutes from the airport and was about 35-40€. The outside of the hotel doesn’t take your breath away, but once you walk into the lobby you are surprised and impressed. TIP: we booked our hotel online at Expedia and in the notes we asked for a view of the Acropolis. We got a balcony on the top floor with a great view – at night it is lit up, beautiful and made for great pictures. The room itself is a little small and dated, but we were out in the city 18 hours a day so we were happy. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant as well which offers another excellent view of the Acropolis. We went there 1 night, but ended up having drinks instead as the crowd was very senior. The location here is the best part. You are only 3 blocks from the new Acropolis Museum which is also the big up point for the City Sightseeing hop on hop off bus which we used as a taxi for a few days. You can walk to the Acropolis and all the most famous sites, but perhaps the best part is that the Plaka area (pedestrian only historical area with restaurants and shops) is only a few blocks away. This is where we went for dinners and nightlife. The hotel does have a bar in the basement were we watched some late night World Cup as well. They also have a nice little pool, but we were too busy to use it. The front desk did a great job with the room and arranging tours for us – they gave us info on the bus and had brochures for tours as well. We would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor with a view of the Acropolis.

Spent three nights there with my adult daughter as part of a Greece tour package. Our room had two twin beds pushed together and roomy enough for a European city hotel room. The decor was a little worn but the room was comfortable and ac worked great. The hotel is in a fabulous location - near the Acropolis and other ancient sites and within walking distance of the Plaka area. We visited the rooftop lounge which has a spectacular view of the illuminated Acropolis at night and had a drink - very pleasant spot to relax after touring. We also has a group dinner there on our first night in Greece - the Greek salad was great along with the chicken main course. We had breakfast in the morning as well - there were a lot of choices on that buffet. Pros - location, pleasant staff, clean. Cons - there were few electrical plugs accessible to charge your portable electronic devices.

Room Tip: Had a room on the third floor and heard noises from outside at night - suggest a higher floor.

Easy waking to acropolis and other attractions. The staff were fantastic and attentive to all our needs. Our room was a little dated and there is no coffee in the room, however the bath was very nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The convenience and professional courtesy of the staff made this an ideal stay for us. We wanted to watch the World Cup and had trouble with the TV. We called and they came straight away to fix it. I can't address the price as this was booked through our travel agent.

We recently attended at convention in Greece and this hotel was filled to capacity with the delegates of the convention. Although there were throngs on conventioneers checking in at the same time, the hotel receptionists were organized, calm, professional and courteous and got us checked in and up to our rooms in a matter of minutes. The rooms were clean, neat and large enough to make us feel comfortable for the 8 days we were there. The buffet breakfast which was included in the price was excellent. Everything from fresh juice, yogurt, fruits, pastries, breads, eggs, bacon, and cheeses to select from. The waiters were so professional and efficient as they kept the tables cleared and set up again for the many guests who were coming in and out. They worked so hard and always had a smile on their face. The staff was there to help us with all our needs and if a problem occurred in the room, someone was there within 5 minutes to fix it. The location of this hotel was perfect. It was so close to everything, the subway, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, the "plaka" and the acropolis. The view of the acropolis from the roof top restaurant was beautiful. The service they gave us was indeed 5 star service and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Greece. Thank you Divani Palace Acropolis. We will come again.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the acropolis
