We have just returned from this hotel. My wife had a terrible problem with bed bugs (we brought the bugs down to the hotel reception as proof!) in the room and had to visit a doctor and cancel excursions since bites caused great discomfort.

This is totally unacceptable in a 4 star hotel paying an average of 140 euros a night for a room.

We stayed 10 nights in this hotel and used the restaurant so spent thousands of euros here but hotel just locked the bugs infected room and changed our room and did not offer any type of compensation for this disruption.

Room Tip: avoid this hotel

The hotel is located very close to Acropolis, Plaka and is hardly 30-35 min from the airport. The location is the most amazing part of this hotel and add to that is the fact the hotel is really nice. We had booked a triple room and the bed for the third person was really small so that only a short person could fit there. Overall a very good experience with good location

Room Tip: Location! Location! Location

located at syntagma square and around the corner from the Plaka - a spacious hotel with amrnities- we had lunch the day we arrived and it was very decent - we stayed 2 nights. - continued on our tour of the Greek islands and came back for 1 night and they upgraded us to the corner suite. this allows us to have an excellent view of the city and parliament, the changing of the guards and the gardens - it was a good choice.

The hotel is a very conveniently located hotel to most of the top tourist attractions in Athens. The room was clean and the bathroom was very modern. There wasn't a lot of "free space" in the room but it was functional, clean and accomodating. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. For the rate paid, which included the breakfast, I would have to rate this hotel as a very good value. At times it seemed a bit cramped; however, it met all the basic needs. The terrace at the top of the hotel was a great view point for many interesting photos of Athens!

The very central location, and the views from such location, Our De Lux Room overlooking The Royal Municipal Gardens and mountains and the parliament building, the service and friendliness the cleanliness, BUT, it lacks the presence of a good restaurant.
We were so engaged walking with the history so close and dining so close, that we did not even bother to find out of the about fitness or swimming pool.

Room Tip: Go for a room overlooking the Royal Municipal Gardens. It is worth every extra penny.

Found a pubic hair in the Pizza halfway through the meal .. a very harrowing experience. The kitchen staffs of the world are quite capable of polluting food for people who appear different - may have been responsible for this. This is a very sad incident in an otherwise good hotel. If this incident was to be overlooked - I have good things to say about the hotel. However, this little incident by mistake or intentional destroyed an otherwise great stay.
Just for this I will incorrectly rate the hotel at 1.
We have also not escalated the issue with their government departments as we are here merely for 3 days and did not want to create nuisance for the hotel.
