The reviews about location are right on. Everything from shopping, dining, and sight seeing is an easy walk just as previous reviewers have noted. Also the positive reviews on the hospitality are true too. Regardless who is at the front desk they take care of you. This is our first trip to Greece and we are finding that the Greeks are extremely hospitable.

We spent 3 nights here recently. The hotel was very clean and was convenient to Syntagma Square and the Plaka which was important since we were on foot. Every time we came into the lobby, the staff knew who we were making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was a buffet with many choices, including fresh figs. Because we did not leave the city until later in the afternoon, they stored our luggage after we checked out. We would definitely stay here again.

The family that runs this place is super friendly and very helpful in making suggestions for dinner, site seeing, and transportation. The location is very convenient to the Acropolis, making an evening exploration a very easy walk (other that the fact that it is up hill). The hotel is a bit rustic by virtue of its age and boasts authentic frescoes in the entry way. We stayed on the 4th floor- so the steps were a hike, but worth it for the privacy and quiet location. I expect the rooms near the stairs may be a bit noisy with people coming and going. The AC worked great and the shower, although small, was adequate. If you are looking for convenience, this is the place. If you are looking for luxury, you may want to go else where.

We have stayed here several times over 20+ years and find it like coming home. Friendly and homey; not perfect but simple, clean and friendly. If you want fancy, go elsewhere. Good breakfast, great location, Wifi now...different world since visit of 1997!

Conveniently located in the Planka District. A 10 minute walk to the Acropolis or the Subway station. There are several good restaurants within a 3 to 5 minute walk.
The man at the front desk in the afternoon and evenings was very helpful and really cared about your stay. I'm sorry i can mention him be name.

They have a good breakfast with lots of variety. Our room had a very old fresco that was noticed only after an earthquake.

Rooms are clean, no bugs. Great water pressure. We stayed 3 nights with 4 adults in our room. This was a bit tight. We were consistently able to get a wifi connection in our room.

They turn off the AC at the front desk when you leave. I’d recommend you mention this whenever you come back to your room. Our first night we had no AC and suffered. When I mentioned it the following morning, the lady quickly run to the back room to flip the switch and then we went together to the room to verify it was working. Having learned the system, I was vigilant to ask they turn on the AC every time we came back.

We had an early flight out and they packed a sack breakfast for us. This was something I had not anticipated and it was a very nice touch..

The website said they accepted credit cards but they make a BIG push for cash when you check out.

I’d gladly stay here again.

Room tip: remember to tell them to turn on the AC when you arrive each time
