A good value for money and a nice way to get an introduction on the city. After the tour (takes about 45min) you know where everything is and can visit them easily.

A great way to see the area and orient yourself for just 6 euro. Commentary is not the greatest and time is flexible, ours took 90 mins but a great way to see a lot for little.

For anyone who does not have much time to see Athens is a good choice, shoulder deserve to see the sights much better. I think the 6 euro is enough and that the speakers need renovation

This small train is great attractions not only for children but also for adults. It takes about 1 hour for 1 ride. It visits alsmost all of the important tourist attractions like temple of Zeus, acropolis, plaka, Thission temple, parliament etc. One can get in train anywhere on its way. Ride is not at all costly. Only thing is they do not provide much information about various sights .

My 4yo was dying to take the train. This was the last thing we did before leaving Athens. I recommend it as one of the first things to do. It gives a good overview of the surrounding sites, as well as a trip around the Parliament (scary!), Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (check out the changing of the guard), etc. The train will also drop you at the entrance to the Acropolis- and pick you back up. It is also a thrill ride, as the train weaves in and out of downtown traffic, rounds blind corners in the Plaka, and scares unsuspecting tourists walking aimlessly in the streets :)
6 EUR for adults, 3 EUR kids- well worth it
