First impression of the foyer was quite formal but the staff at reception were very warm and relaxed in their welcome. Our room was not large but had every thing we needed. We booked a standard Acropolis view and it definitely delivered with a good view from the small balcony. The location is very good for accessing the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. You can walk through to the Plaka area in a few minutes. If you want to explore further afield there is a Metro station just up the road. Hotel staff can also arrange bookings for open top tourist buses that circulate on a regular basis to main tourist sites. Excellent breakfast served in the lovely restaurant space downstairs. Agree with some previous comments that carpets are a bit tired and no plug for the bath but we felt the Hera was good value for money and would stay here again.
