It is a dangerous place, filled with beggars and junkies. Although it is good looking it is filthy. If you are not from Athens, stay away, especially after dark!

Visited Kotzia Square on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty apart from a couple of people having their photos taken. The square itself is interesting with fine buildings surrounding it and sits between Athinas Street and Aiolou Street. The nearest Metro Station is Omonia Square which is not one of the best neighbourhoods is less than a 10 minute walk to the north of the square.

A great square and worth a visit if visiting this part of Central Athens.

An old, square, in the center of Athens, facing the Old Municipal House of Athens. Beautiful, after sunset, when there is still light and the lamps are lighting the night coming. I don't know, but it reminds me, the ambiance of Place des Vosges in Paris. Not compaired but similar romantic.

You can see there the town hall of Athens the Megaron Mela and the building of National Bank which are architectural landmarks in the city. Also you can find many shops especially for food.It hosts the Athens Autumn Flower Show in May.
