In January, myself and my best mate, fulfilled a long held ambition to visit Athens. We caught the metro from the airport (very reasonable) and with one change arrived at the Acropolis metro station. From there, the Hotel was a three or four minutes walk. (Exit the station, walk up the road then take the first right and then the next right.) The Hotel is, thus, very close to 'The main Drag'. It is also very close to The Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis and Parthenon, The Restaurant Quarter; the Bus Stop for the 'Hop On, Hop Off Bus' and the Temple of Zeus. In a word - fantastic location.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. Rooms - excellent. No question of towels (changed every day), shampoo and shower gel - fully stocked daily. There is a kettle (three cheers, as an Englishman, tea is a vital necessity - there was plenty also coffee, milk etc.
I was very impressed with the Staff. I work in a four star hotel in England so I do like to think I know what I am looking for. Throughout our stay we were treated with great courtesy, kindness, and I was left with the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. This includes the Reception Staff, the Breakfast Staff and the members of Housekeeping. I cannot praise them enough.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Breakfasts. There was a large choice - from traditional Greek, to scrambled eggs and bacon, mushrooms etc. Cold cuts, cereals, cakes, and a variety of breads.
Thank you - staying here made our trip!!
PS The Receptionist even looked up the soccer results on the Internet for us.......what more can one ask??????!!!!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the street but this was not a problem.

Returned to this hotel after many years. No surprises the same good quality of service, though breakfast has been enriched. Being a stone thrown away from Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Plaka qaurters and the Metro station is ideal for those who want to save time and energy.

Room Tip: We stayed in 504 and it was very quiet.

Hotel is fair. Clean and location is awesome. We stated one night. Staff was ok not the best we experienced in Athens but definitely not the worst. We left a bag there and had to pay 1.5 euro per day. Which was better than lugging it around Crete so ok. We stayed at the Airotel stratos vassilikos that was further away and that place was awesome!!!! This place was a solid 3 thanks mostly to location. I'd stay there again knowing it was just ok, not amazing.

Room Tip: High floor

We came for New Year's Ève and I must say that it is one of the best hotel I ve been to. The staff was really helpful, nice and trained. We took the half board package and for the price we can t complain. Fantastic room, a lot of comfort and spacious room. Parthenon is about 5 mn walk and the metro 2 mn. It s true that they could improve the cleaning and breakfast could be better but I want to insist on the fact that for the location, the excellence of the staff and the quality of the food for New year Eve everything was just perfect and our trip was just excellent!

Thanks to the whole team for your kindness and smile! Keep the good vibes.

We made a last minute booking in this hotel over Christmas. Location is great as it is just within short walking distance from Acropolis. Rooms are clean and service not too bad, but the whole place lacks the kind of facilities one expects from a supposedly 4*; I would not rate this more than a 2* or 3*. Breakfast included in the price but again way below standard. All in all this is not really worth the $, there are alternative places in Athens with much better value for $.

Dear RS,

Thank you for choosing Airotel Parthenon during your stay in Athens and for spending time to post your input.

We are really sorry to read that you were not quite satisfied with the facilities of our property. Your valueable feedback has been already taken into consideration, but besides all the rest it was a surprise for us to see that you did not enjoy our breakfast. Its greek character is usually mentioned in lots of positive reviews of our guests.

Do hope to give us another opportunity to welcome you again in the future.

Kind Regards,

Theodoros Evangelopoulos
