“Unusual Shower”
Reviewed 29 July 2011

The room was ok but the shower would only be sufficient for pygmies...there was no room to turn around. Many times there was no person at the front desk. Might stay there there again if the price was right

The photos make it look much better than it is. We were very disappointed with our room, it was really basic, with old furniture, the bathroom was tiny (you couldn't fit two people at the same time) and had been furnished a long time ago. We found used bottles of shower gel (although it is true that overall it was clean). The area is very nice, has lots of local restaurants and bars at a much cheaper price than the touristy ones in other areas and is close to everything (monuments and commercial area) but the fact that the hotel is situated by the main square is definitely a disadvantage - there are people in the terraces talking and laughing until 3 or 4 in the morning and you can hear it from your room. There was one night when a group of men kept shouting until 5 in the morning. I wouldn't recommend the area to anyone travelling with children. Breakfast is nothing special - has no fresh juice or bread. On top of that, they charged us twice (the first time while we were there using the card I had used to book and didn't say anything to us) and the second time as we checked out. They have given the money back and have been helpful since but it was still not great. Overall I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are looking for a cheap and very very basic hotel for a night or two.

We stayed here for our last night in Athens. The hotel is in close proximity to local restaurants and the streets were alive with culture and young people out for a night of fun. The hotel had all the basics we needed except there was no safe in the room and the showers are a bit strange... It's also a bit far from the metro.

Overall we thought this hotel provided value for money and we were pleased with our choice.

Room Tip: Some rooms have better views than others.

For this hotel, I would recommend to people with no children and if you are going to have a nightlife trip. But if you have children with you I would look somewhere else. Very noisy during the night (no matter which day of the week). But very close to everything and the staff great, very friendly and helpful. We ordered big room for four and got extremly small room with two separated bedrooms and very small bathroom. Very expensive city, BEVARE OF THE TAXI DRIVERS.

This is a pretty nice hotel- completely serviceable and in a hip part of town. Its not luxury but I didn't really want to spend a whole lot of time there anyway. I would not call it quiet, but again I was out late. Good value for the money, I would stay here again.

I am told this neighborhood used to be really bad, but now it looked fine to me.

The hotel was a good value but was more shabby than I expected. I valued the location as poor, though it was fairly centrally located. The area around the hotel is fairly gritty, especially for a family with younger children, while the street noise was also bothersome.

The staff were very helpful, with the clerk moving his motorcycle to help save a parking space for us to load up our car when leaving. We appreciated their helpful attitude.

The hotel could use a modest update of paint, and some attention, particularly in the bathroom. It was not a horrible experience, but we were very ready to leave after our two nights!

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is basic but it is clean and comfortable. It is in the heart of the Exarchion area which is a lively area with lots of cafes, restaurants, and bars, due to the large student population. It is about a 10-15 min walk from Omonia Square (metro). The continental breakfast was fine and the rooms have Wifi access. Overall it’s quite good value for money.
