Spent 4 nights here, and was totally disappointed. First, our room, located in the backside, was noisy until 2 am every night because the hotel guests were chatting loud in the courtyard below. Second, the room was crammed, and the bathroom even worse -- it was the size of a closet. Third, the bathroom was not clean. It looked like the shower curtain was never washed. All the fittings were of cheap quality. Thus the toilet paper holder kept coming off. The place lacked charm. and looked and felt like a dump. Last but not the least, it was very pricey for a budget place. The only good thing was the location -- right smack in the town center of Plaka -- close to restaurants, stores and major sights. When we walked out of the hotel, we were greeted with a charming lively street.

Room Tip: May be the rooms on the sides of the hotel, but some of these rooms do not come with bathrooms

We're not new to hostels, and had a pretty good idea of what was pretty much the cheapest accommodation in Athens would be like. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself is in a very convenient location, very close to the Acropolis that every visitor will end up attending. It has a nice bar in a shaded courtyard - invaluable for the scorching Athens summer evenings - and offers the usual laundry service amongst other useful things.

Unfortunately the place is also pretty dirty. The room was very dusty, and the sheets itchy although superficially clean. The bathrooms in particular are mouldy - flip flops are mandatory. I'd definitely look elsewhere unless your budget won't stretch further.

I stayed here 3 times over 3 weeks for a total of 6 nights. I experienced most of the bad that other people said as well as the good.
The location is great. Right in the heart of the plaka and it was pretty clean. The staff is nice. its close to all the shopping, restaurants, the metro, etc.

If youre just looking for a place to lay down, sure. I wouldnt say sleep. Apparently they host large groups of teenage kids as i am not the first to complain about this. it was decided it wasnt important enough that other guests couldnt sleep because the kids wanted to use the hallways as a gathering place. I complained a few times to the front desk and they just said their chaperones are responsible and took no responsibility for their guests experience.

The main thing i despised about this place is there is no wifi. they say free wifi, but they must be using a home router and not a commercial connection because 8.5/10 times the wifi never would connect. i constantly seen people at the front desk about it. one of hte receptions solution was to turn off the router (to kick everyone off) then it would work momentarily. I stayed on islands in remote villages that had better wifi than this place. i felt bad for people that actually needed wifi to continue to plan their travels cause it just wasnt happenin.

I cant really say to much about the actual hostel group rooms as far as lockers and bathrooms go because i stayed either by myself in a single room and had a school colleague in a double room.

Room are getting old and need refurbishment.
Mattresses decaying.
Breakfast not worthy, no refund so don't prepay. Better try everyday a taverna on the street. Many attractive ones.
Wifi almost not existing.
However location and price would make me do it again.

This place is what you think a hostel is. It's a nice place to sleep and that's it. The locks to the bathroom didn't work and neither did the locks on the shower stalls or the shower stalls. But overall the place was great for the price! I felt safe and it was clean. The staff is great and very helpful! If you want luxury I don't recommend this place but if you want a safe place to rest your head at night that won't break the bank, this is your place!
