To begin with, the decor is stuck in the past. Not in a good way, either - it's boring, dark, stale -as others have put it.
The meat itself is rather good, its quality definitely cannot match the really high prices they charge for it. Portions are small and all menu items are not accompanied by *anything* at all, so you have to buy a side dish if you don't want to eat just the one steak. I mean, not even one fry, one bean, something! Just the meat.
Hors d'oeuvres are nice, but nothing to write home about, and are extremely expensive.
I've been there twice, both times they didn't have half of the items we ordered available.
They don't have any notable beers, just the mainstream Heineken/Amstel stuff, which is really weird for a meat specialty place.
But the worst thing was the service... The *one* waiter actually insulted us to our face when we said we didn't want anything to drink. My friend asked for his steak to be well done, but it was more rare than mine - and I asked mine to be very rare! For the two beers that we ordered they brought us two water glasses (??!) and, when we asked for proper ones they had to dig them out of storage, wash them and bring them. And they were both the wrong kind (another brand) and size (500ml glasses for 330ml beers). They clearly have no idea whatsoever.
When, at the end of the dinner, we complained, the waiter didn't even offer an apology. Instead, they tried skipping issuing a receipt.
What a terrible, expensive, boring place...
PS Oh, and the waiter was also probably sick, sniffling his red nose over our dishes... ugh!
