“Not bad hotel, bad management attitude and extras.”
Reviewed 9 June 2010

The hotel itself isn't bad with clean rooms and comfortable furniture. The employees, though, leave a bit to be desired in attitude and customer service. In addition, they pull the BS nickel and diming for a/c when it is a necessity in Athens in the spring and summer. My suggestion would be to just add a few euros to the price and include a/c rather than making clients pay for a necessity.
Location? Yes, for most this could be a bit daunting as it is a dark street with groups of young men hanging on the street corners.

Very helpful and kind staff (specially Sara). Rooms are very clean, but unfortunately little bit could and mosit with smell of moist(?). Position of hotel is very good for all city atractions, you do not need metro, but there are many people all around near hotel that looked like they where in some suspicios business( always go left, when you are leaving hotel, than again left, and than right). Breakfast is the worst i ever tried, nothing tasteful, and that is the biggest disadvantage of this hotel. Hotel is not so bed like it seems, but if you have more money tray to find better hotel. If you want to save your money , it is going to be o.k. if you know what to expect.

Hotel convenient to Monastariki Metro station (no need to change trains from the airport) and has great views of the Acropolis. Our room was small but clean and bathroom adequate. Staff very friendly and spoke good English. Hotel is situated in an immigrant area and this might be uncomfortable for some visitors especially after dark. Hotel does not provide evening meals but a wholesome meal can be obtained from the restaurant right across the road from the hotel. Many interesting local shops in the immediate vicinity.

Great value for money.
Very helpful staff, wonderful view from the roof bar, clean and modern room.
In about 5 minutes you can easily reach Monastiraki and Plaka.

So good we went back to it on our last night after the islands. Seedy area at night - the young men hanging around in the streets nearby are a bit intimidating- but we experienced and saw no trouble. The spice nut and herb shops nearby are worth inspecting as is the meat and fish market a few blocks away. Good location for the sights. Eat at the small cafe opposite if you like large plates of grilled meat and fresh salad at reasonable prices!!
Try to get rooms 09-10-11 on floors 4, 5 and 6 to get views of parthenon from small balcony. Good buffet breakfast on rooftop balcony.

We found the hotel very easily - about 10 minutes walk from Monastiriki metro station. Our room on the 5th floor was quiet, spotlessly clean and a fair size. We had a small balcony with a view of the Acropolis too. The market and herb shops nearby are well worth exploring - we got some great buys on nuts, preserved fruit and sweets too. The area is quite run down in some places and the person I was travelling with was concerned at how safe it was and thought that we would need to take a taxi to go out at night. However, when we ventured out we felt quite safe and walked around that evening without incident.

The hotel is beautifull, rooms are warm and romantic, only the porch was small.
We stayed at room 410 and we could see Akropolis from the small porch.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was basic but the view from there was fantasic.
The hotel is in the middle of Omonia square, monastiraki and syntagma where it makes it location fantastic but the only drawback is its street in a 500 m perimetric area.
They feel scary but they are not. It is just life. But as quest there we were always cautious.
Nice to be there.
Greetings from Cyprus
