This is the district to stay in to be centrally located to the cultural heritage sites and for shopping! This is where we prefer to stay!

Walking arround Plaka is always a special way to discover the beauty and the magic of this city. There is no way to miss the history that is hidden behind all these colorfull neighborhoods with the savors of beautifull flowers. Best visit time arround sunset.. Excellent.!!!

The Plaka is the central location for tourists in Athens. There are plenty of bustling restaurants and shops in this area near the Acropolis. You can spend more than a few hours here poking around and in and out of the shops. If you're looking to take souvenirs home, make sure to check out a few of the shops before committing as often times you can find the same item elsewhere for a lower price and even bargain here and there to make it even more worth your while.

Out of all the things to do and see at the Plaka, I would recommend visiting Gallery Moraitis and ask to see the Painter's Studio - you won't be disappointed!

I say to leave your high heels at home because all of the roads and walkways are cobble stone - vanity will get you no where here, comfort is key! :)

Plaka is a great way to spend a few hours. Visit all the little shops, grab some food, some sweets or some fresh fruit. At night the plaza comes alive with music but the shops close around 8. On the weekend morning it is full of life with the hustle and bustle of the locals.
