“Best value in Athens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2013

This small boutique hotel is centrally located within walking distance of most everything a visitor to Athens will want to see and visit. The rooms are clean, modern, and most have balconies and at just 90-100 euros/night, a great value that also includes a very good and plentiful breakfast. There is a very nice sidewalk cafe attached to the hotel as well as a restaurant, although we did not eat there. Because it is located on a pedestrian walkway between 2 small streets most taxi drivers are not that familiar with it. But the rooms are very quiet for the same reason. But you must inform your driver that it is not the St. George Lycabettus that you want.

although right in centre of city very hard to find i asked 3 local people directions including police officer who did not know where it was .
the reception guy was friendly and spoke english
the room was ok nothing special hair dryer was broke altime of stay wardrobe door could not be fully opened as it hit bedside cabinet.
the view from the window was on to back of offices so not too good
breafast was from 7am but no hot food was avaliable till after 7.30
there are plenty of restaurants within a short distance but it was surprisingly quiet at night time
overall the stay was enjoyable but more like a 3 star hotel than a four

Hotel located at a very convenient location, we arrive at night around 11pm, the street is quiet but safe, the reception is helpful, but room facilities need improvement... Hair dryer is broken, few lamps didn't work which make the room looks dark, as we just stayed therefor a night and checked out at the early morning, so it was still ok for me. Cleanliness is okay, Breakfast is good with some choices.

Lycabettus (not to be confused with the St. George hotel with same name) is very well located in the centre of the boutique area of Athens in a pedestrianised area.

There are lots cafes, bars, restaurants and shops located close by, and the night life in and around the hotel is quite buzzy. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could do with modernisation, however, the rooms were comfortable and well appointed.

The bar and restaurant were busy and it was just a really good place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

This isn't a 4* hotel but it is fun and good value.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back do not have a view, but are quiet. I would imagine rooms at the front enjoy views...

Great location (right in the centre of athens in a safe pedestrianised area and a minute's walk from the main roads). Small hotel but has all the main facilities. Fairly clean. Friendly staff.Great value for money!! Definetely recommend it for short city breaks!

In general the hotel is not a catastrophe. But sure is not a 4 stars, maybe only 2 stars. The room was not big and elegant. The bath room was good but the shower with a tent that was not so long just the floor. The water in shower continuosly cold and hot is not ideal for take a shower. The hairdryer doesn't work (the staff have take to me an other hairdryer). The wifi work only 50% of time. The chip card for open the room door work only 50% of time. The breakfast is not bad but not very good.

Don't mix up Xenos Lycabettus with St. George Lycabettus-up much higher on the hill, and more expensive. Xenos Lycabettus is perfectly located 1/2 way between Kolonaki Sqoare, and Syntagma Square. Easy access to metro for Acropolis etc. Walking distance to Benaki and Gouldandris museums.
Located on pedestrian street, with popular cafes across the way. Quiet. Modern decor. Helpful staff. Breakfasts quite good.
Have stayed all over Athens in earlier trips there and find this the best value, best location and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Valoritou Street(and the cafes) have small balconies which are pleasant
