I was afraid this was going to be a lot of over-eating and I had already been doing that for 2 weeks. George did a great job! It was a perfect combination of small tastes, local food knowledge and walking the streets of Athens. We began at a charming small coffee shop to taste Greek coffee, frappe, teas, orange cake and baklava. Went on from there to central market, then nuts and spices, then a family run shop for mezzo and grappa, finishing with a souvlaki lunch at Thanasis Restaurant. George's knowledge of Greek food and connection to culture was a highlight.

My wife and I went on this tour with Yannis and it was phenomenal. All of the stops and recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed everything from the food, the sights seen, and the company. It felt more like spending time with a friend than a food tour. He was very knowledgeable about both the history and the food. We wish we would have done this tour the first day we were here.
I recommend this tour to everyone. I wish I could go on it again.

My family booked tours with this company (merging with an outfit called Kids Love Greece) and had a wonderful experience. We booked four tours that included our 7-yr old and 10-yr old (who knows his Greek Mythology better than 99% of adults I know, certainly beyond my knowledge!). Three of the four days featured tour guides who engaged the kids, kept us all entertained, and really made the sites come alive. The fourth was fine, but not as engaging for the kids, but was more than willing to change her day on the fly when a miscommunication between me and the tour company was discovered (and while not engaging, she was still very nice). All of the drivers and vehicles were fantastic. The communication with the company leading up to our trip was good. It was a tough balance to find the correct moment to decide our plans with finality though...luckily Christina was awesome and was able to put together a great vacation with us!!!

Nota & Yannis were always right on time in meeting us. Our first day in Athens, we went to the Aegina Island. We visited the hill of Kolona and the Temple of Afea. On second day, we visited the Acropolis, Agora and sunset at Cape Sounion (Temple of Poseidon). The third day, we visited sanctuary of Nemesis, ancient city of Rhamnous and Marathon. Nota took her time to explain the heritage & culture of ancient Greece in chronological order. The one thing that touched me the most was the visit to Agora, where Nota showed us the place and explained how speeches were made and voted on by the citizens. The birth of democracy! Nota & Yannis went way over what I expected. They recommended where the best foods, beer & wine and side excursions were available for rest of our trip through Greece.
