Our party had four rooms so we were able to compare them. All were styled in very different ways, but all were comfortable, clean, spacious and quiet at night. Breakfast buffet was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful (recommended several restaurants and we were never disappointed). Very close to the Archeology museum and only five minutes walk from Omonia Square with metro station. We enjoyed our four night stay very much and can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors give better views, but you'll be so tired after visiting Athens attractions you'll just want to sleep!

Came back to Art Hotel and we were again very satisfied with the hospitality, warmth and friedliness of everyone there.
The rooms were clean and as we had the suite of the top floor, we had nice view over Athens and a lot of space.
The great asset of this hotel of course is the people... Still sfter those years they keep up the enthusiasm and the willingness to make you spend some quality time in Athens. I recommend you to ask for tips on restaurants and sightseeing... You get the latest hot spots!
Well, the location is as safe as everywhere in the city ... Me and my wife walked around Athens even in the night and felt comfortable about it.
It is definately a value for money cozy artistic and easy to access hotel that makes you feel at home.

We spent 6 nights in the Hotel in March 2014 over three stretches. Though I was accompanied by my wife and teenage daughter, unlike an early reviewer, we felt safe.

The rooms were decent and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Located conveniently, the Archeological Museum (a must visit place) is within walking distance and the main attractions of Acropolis/Plaka within a radius of 1-2 kilometres.

Everyone at the hotel was helpful. They gave us a quick orientation of Athens and helped us prioritize our sightseeing plans, guided us on transport, shopping, eating out etc. They indulged all our requests!

We had a very pleasant stay and if ever I were to go back to Athens, I would choose to stay at this hotel.

Based on the hotel alone: excellent service, free breakfast, great location in terms of relative distance to sites, and friendly staff. The woman at the front desk Margaret was an angel that was really helpful when we told her our plans for the day. She pretty much helped us map out our trip. Also, the hotel wasn't far from the Omonia train station which we took to the Acropolis, cheaper than the cabs. The rooms were a little small but not cramped.

In terms of location, it was good because it was close to the train and the nearby archaeological museum. However, if you're not used to the city life you may be turned off by the surrounding area. It can be a little scary but do not let this scare you! Just have your whits about you and you'll be okay. For the price and service for this hotel it's really a steal.
