You'll find everything here from clothes to fruits antique shops and good local cuisine, it gets a little crowed but nothing that hard to handle. Parking is hard and expensive so a taxi or uber is a must and it's cheap, bathrooms are only available for clients in restaurants or shops, you won't find any public bathroom on site. If there's is never saw one. Place is fun secure pretty hot in the morning and lots of walking to be done. Recomend the place.

If you want to feel the atmosphere of a live market and understand better what are the food preferences of Greeks this is a very good experience!!!!Great quality and excellent prices. If you want to buy cheaper especially fish or sea food the late hours are better because there is a discount!!Saturday is the best day for shopping and discounts. Crowed, noisy and alive atmosphere. At the heart of the historical centre and so close to Omonoia Square and Monastiraki try this!!!!

Love visiting markets all over the world, and this is a great one. It is clean, and, while specializing in meat and fish, it did not smell. A visual, interesting and fun place. Several restaurants are tucked into the market, and everyplace we tried was great. Don't miss the adjacent fruit and vegetable area on the streets just to the West of the fish market.

Easy to find this market if you follow your nose, 50 fish stalls next to each other will do that. This place is interesting if you like fresh food markets, it's mainly or only fish (inner ring) and meat (outer ring) so you make the rounds, see everything, nod and smile when invited to buy stuff, maybe snap some photos and you're out of there. I could easily buy from here if I were living in the city, a lot of the fish looked good and was very well priced! Not much of a meat or butcher's shop fan, but if you are, you will be pleased here.
