We really enjoy this hotel, is quite, simple, with all facilities as described.
The room were very clean, breakfast is complete and very good.
The staff helpful, and they were really nice with us.
A mention goes to CORINA! she help us in everything, she was very nice with us! I think she is the best receptionist in Athens :)

The hotel whilst a little tired and rooms basic provides an excellent breakfast, the best we`ve had in Greece on over 40 islands! It is in a fantastic location you can walk almost everywhere to the sites, restaurants, transport and shops it really is in the centre of everything. The staff are so caring and helpful, NOTHING is too much trouble. Whilst we were staying there we had dreadful news from home and were desperately trying to get home early the kindness of the staff will never be forgotten they were genuinley concerned enquiring and offering help whenever they could. We would have no hesitation in recomending a stay in the hotel and will stay agan next time we go to Athens.

When you're travelling abroad, what else do you need - if you can get up in the morning, tuck into some amazing breakfast and then simply amble up to some of the most amazing sites in the world, your day's made!!! Had booked this hotel based on reviews on TripAdvisor and did not regret it.

Within half an hour of landing in Athens two locals told us you've chosen a fantastic location to stay in. And we knew why when we dumped our bags in the hotel and walked down to the National Archaeological Museum and then to the Acropolis. Oh...how lovely was that!!! We could not do all the sites on the first day as they shut down early because of the winter season. No problem...we walked down the next day!!! Also, most importantly it was absolutely safe at night - no shady business or shady people on the streets as there are in some areas of Athens.

The hotel is in the old city of Plaka where you can get lovely Greek souvenirs and some amazing food. Talking of food...the hotel serves the most amazing breakfast - fresh fruits, greek yoghurt, different kinds of breads, croissants, eggs in three kinds - sunny side up, omelette with bacon, hard boiled - cold cuts, cheese, three kinds of cereals with milk, two kinds of cakes, tea, coffee, orange juice...ohhh...awesome...and you can eat as much as you want. We used to feel so full after breakfast that mostly we used to skip lunch...and this was despite walking around the city the whole day...and we were NOT cutting costs on food!!! In Greece, we wanted to spend only on two things - travelling and food.

The hotel does have its downsides - like the floor of the room creaked a bit, the size of the bathroom was nothing to write home about but they can easily be ignored. After all you don't go to Athens to stay in the hotel!!! And if you're travelling on budget, what more do you want!!! You can't expect 5-star service. Yet the hotel management does more than the best they can and they're there for you 24 hours!!!

The manager Nikolas was very very kind. One day we had to leave early in the morning to catch a ferry and he had breakfast ready for us at 6:30 in the morning!!! We needed printouts of our eboarding passes and he gave them to us for free!!! How sweet is that!!!

This is definitely one of the best budget hotels in Athens. We will definitely go back to this hotel the next time we're in Athens and definitely recommend for budget travellers.

Oh...they also have wifi in the entire hotel and it's absolutely free. Just buzz the reception and ask them the password and you're on your way. Now if that's not a frill in a budget hotel, what is!!!

A four-block walk from Syntagma Square (Metro Stop from Airport), and within a kilometer of all kinds of sites including the Acropolis, this was a perfect location for seeing historic Athens. The room was adequate and nothing special, but certainly met our expectations considering we were paying only about 70 Euros. Breakfast was great, and the Greek cherries on the yoghurt were the high-light, but eggs, pastries, fruit, coffee and juice made it a meal that set us up for a day's sight-seeing. The staff members were helpful in every way, carrying our luggage, giving us directions, helping us with phone calls, and even using the office computer to check email.

Stayed a this hotel for 1 night after flight from Australia and prior to catching a ferry to Santorini. The room was adequate for what we needed, bathroom was on the small side with no window but this didn't bother us since we were only there a short time. Location was superb, within walking distance of The Plaka. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Don't book this hotel if you are looking for luxury but for a short stay it is OK.

We stayed at Hotel Myrto on a couple of occasions during our holiday in Greece. Our flight arrived very early in the morning so weren't expecting to get into our room till later in the afternoon. We were delighted when on arrival (7.30am) we were able to get changed, get some breakfast close by and then return at 10am to our room. The best part about this hotel is its location. We walked everywhere and the area was very safe. Breakfast was fantastic with lots to choose from. Even our fussy children ( 12yrs and 14yrs) were very satisfied, however they were more impressed with the free wifi! Management were very helpful and friendly, even assisting with some printing that we had to do for tours and tickets. Our rooms were always clean and despite being full the hotel was always quiet. I would definitely return to this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

We stayed at Myrto very recently in a 2 bedroom Family Apartment. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean, had all the mod cons required: aircon, TV, wifi access, microwave etc. We even had a view of the Acropolis from the bathroom window! The rooms could do with a cosmetic makeover but we didnt spend much time in them to notice - we were too busy seeing Athens!!! The staff were fantastic, always helpful and full of advice of what to see and do. The breakfasts were great and the location cannot be beat...a stones throw away from Syntagma and 15-20 minute walk to Plaka and the Acropolis.

If you want a great place to stay on a budget in central Athens, then the Myrto is the place for you!
