I stayed here to get out of Athens for a few days (booked 5, stayed 4 days in total) to be near the sea to swim. The location is only about 20mins away from the airport with KTEL buses running regularly (contact hotel to get details) or you can catch a cab (be aware the flag rate goes into double as you are leaving the metro area). Cabs/Taxis in the area are not readily available & the hotel car service is not cheap. The rating for this hotel is 3 stars & it cost me €50 per night incl.breakfast & free WI-FI in your room . My stay was OK, I was disappointed mostly because the photos on the website DID NOT match my room in reality. The standard was low compared to other 3star hotels in greece. There were broken lamps & accessories in my room, light globes missing, the bed was old & rather quite hard, the shower was TINY and the shower curtain had pink mold (Fusarium). The room & bathroom was clean, the service was good, it has air conditioning and views. However the breakfast was very basic - bread, ham/turkey slices, cheese, tomato, feta, canned peaches, yogurt, jam/honey, biscuits, marble cake, weird cornflakes, tea & coffee and scrambled eggs on occasion - check with hotel when booking. The hotel menu was expensive and not authentic.I wouldn't recommend ordering from them even though they regularly cater & host weddings. 2 scoops of poor quality icecream cost my friend €6 which I did not encounter anywhere else.Pathetic!
FOOD in the area is DISMAL, avoid the taverna across the road it is DISGUSTING. Your better off going to Cavo down the road (10min stroll) open morning till late at night, but they have a limited menu. The seafood Taverna next door to Cavo was good & the Pizza 1 on the corner close to the hotel offered well cooked greek food (lathera - dishes prepared in oive oil). The oven cooked lemon chicken & potatoes & makaronia & kima (spag. bolognese) was good as were the vegetable dishes. There is a convenience store within walking distance which stocks alcohol, cigarettes, some basic food, snacks etc open until 9pm.
The hotel has a pool, has steps leading down to a beach (the beach has sand, pebbles & rocks but is definitely swimmable). There's a childrens park & basketball courts on the harbour within close walking distance.
The hotel hosted a wedding whilst I stayed there, so ask if one is booked for the dates you stay & get a room on the side of the hotel (not facing the back deck or pool area).
The hotel looks like it has tried to do some renovations to the rooms, but they really should have completed the job to a slightly higher standard & the bed was a disappointment compared to other 3star hotels that have completed renovations. The bed was hard & a bit lumpy after the first night. I'd recommend you take the ferry from Rafina to KARYSTOS on the island of Evia and go stay there! If you have some time up your sleeve, That, is definitely an 2hr trip door to door that is WORTH IT!
