I really enjoyed my stay at the Phidias earlier this summer. I LOVE the location -- I'm from NYC and walking from the Metro stop reminds me of the vibe in the East Village/Alpha City. The area isn't very touristy -- there are lots of Greeks out at all hours in the cafes along the pedestrian street the hotel is located on. Yes, some visitors might find it a bit of a walk (along either the side or the back of the Agora) to get to the Plaka, but there is a Metro stop very near by, and it was interesting to ride and compare it with the NYC subway system. All the hotel staff were great -- very friendly and helpful whenever I had a question.

Room Tip: Some guests might find rooms on the street a little noisy in the evening.

Stayed here with a large group of 25 which basically filled the entire hotel (we were forced into triples). Considering, we were accommodated very well. As expected, rooms are small but roomy enough for two people... Not for three. Bathrooms are old and our shower flooded the entire bathroom every time we showered which got annoying by our fifth night. Otherwise no terrible complaints as all the air conditioners worked fine, prime central location in Athens with lots and lots of tavernas, shops, and metro stations nearby! Good variety at breakfast with eggs, Greek yogurt, breads, and more! I'd recommend this hotel for shorter stays perhaps two to three nights but honestly better accommodations are not necessary as you don't spend much time in the hotel... There's so much to see and do in Athens.

Loved this hotel.

A friend and I stayed overnight before a ferry departure and had rave reviews.

The rooms are simple but clean and include everything you need. We received complementary wine upon arrival and the hosts had great input for restaurants and questions.

And best of all there is a free shuttle to pick you up from the airport bus when you arrive in Piraeus and they will also shuttle you to your ferry. So helpful!!!

We stayed for 2 night. The Hotel location is very good. The street is full of buzz & activities. There are many cafes & restaurants. Breakfast is not a wide spread but comfortable & good. This place may not be suitable for people having problem in climb walking.

Room Tip: Rooms on back side will be quitter but if u like the buzz, go for front side rooms which has balcony...

The hotel is located in Apostolou Pavlou and has a nice vibe to it. The streets have lots of artists, cafes and a good amount of crowd and is a good place to stay around. The rooms are nice and nice and thebest part is that it is absolutely affordable and makes for a great stay. I had stayed at the place for about two days with my friends and had a great time. The staff too are great. Nice rooms. Nice location. Nice food. In whole a good stay option. It is at a walking distance from acropolis

Cheaper place, great location. Really friendly and helpful staff. The room was a decent size had a fridge and ac. However, the bathroom needs a lot of work - there was mold everywhere, holes in the wall, the shower head wouldn't stay up on it's own, very very dirty, I was unsure that if it had even been cleaned prior to our arrival, the door would barely open and shut, too small to even dry off after a shower. It's too bad the bathroom was like that because other than that everything was really good.
