With hotel staff as helpful as those at The Pan you can't go wrong. Advice on tours, transport, restaurants is all yours for the asking. Christos and Achilles were so helpful which can make or break your stay. They even printed out our boarding passess to keep us ahead of the queue. After 5 weeks of travelling they were just what we needed.

In the Plaka close to Syntagma Square and in the heart of everything. I had a lovely balcony room which may be a little noisy for some but I embraced it as part of the travel experience.. Room smallish but comfortable and clean and the hot shower was wonderful and appreciated after 30 hours from Brisbane to Athens . Front desk always very courteous and helpful. Fresh continental breakfast.

Small and a bit noisy, but very close to many sites and cafes-resturants. Breakfast is ok. Very helpful at front desk. The rooms are not large. The elevator is very small but works. The flea market is not far and scross the road is a great cafe with very good food. Overall not too bad.

Dear Mallacootamenke,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Athens and for taking the time to leave your review in TripAdvisor. Regarding the noise, we respect the quiet hours so work is done in the morning between 09.00 and 14.30. We know that in general our hotel is small (the building operates from the 60's) but we do anything we can to make our guests' stay comfortable and pleasant.
We do hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our hotel in the near future.

This is an okay hotel with an excellent location. The hotel sits just of Syntagma Square with ready access to the metro, bus stations, and Taxi's galore. You are super close to the shopping on Ermou street, about a 15 minute walk to the Benaki Museum, 20 min walk to the Byzantine Museum and a quick walk to the Plaka, Monastraki, and more.
The hotel is a bit shabby, but has nicely upgraded/remodeled bathrooms and friendly staff. The beds were standard and the rooms were slightly larger than some European hotels.

This family owned hotel, centrally located, has the most pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms are small by US standards but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms have been renovated and are adequate. The continental breakfast was composed of fresh ingredients and very good. The location alone could be a sufficient reason to stay there; surrounded by restaurants, shops, a 5 minute walk to Syntagma with access to metro stations, buses & trams. Very good value for the money. We liked it so much that we went back there after our tour. Strongly recommend this hotel.

The Pan is is just off (about 100 metres) Syndagma Square in the very centre of Athens. It is very reasonably priced and convenient for doing all the sights of Athens. It is about 100 metres away from the bus-stops to the airport (also the metro), to Piraeus, for the ferries to the islands and places around Athens. The Acropolis, the museums and the chic shopping areas are just a short walk away. I never stay anywhere else when I am in Athens.

Room Tip: If you are a family with kids, say so and ask for the family room

This hotel is located a few blocks from Athens Cathedral in the Plaka area of Athens. It's within walking distance to the metro, tram, many museums, and other attractions in Athens. The rooms are clean and all members of the hotel staff were very cordial, friendly, and helpful. It also has a tasty continental breakfast consisting of a variety of breads, cereals, yoghurt, and other items. The place has a small elevator and spiral stairs for those who prefer using them for the exercise. It is a very charming place.
