This hotel seems to divide opinion a bit. Part of that, I suspect, is probably down to the variable rates charged. I booked online in advance and paid about 25E/night for a double (single occupancy with breakfast) and was satisfied with what I got. I believe walk-ups without reservation were being charged more than double that. I wouldn't have been quite so satisfied in that case.

To pay that little and be near the metro and within 15 mins walk of the centre of a major Euopean capital seems pretty good value to me. You get breakfast, en-suite, aircon, wifi, daily room cleaning, fresh towels and toiletries. For the price I paid I can tolerate the slightly tired decor and various other minor niggles other reviewers have mentioned.

The area is not the most salubrious but I never felt in any danger. The are some nice local (ie non-touristy) bars nearby. I recommend:

The truly amazing acrobat,
Giantai (I think - it's on that square anyway).

Room Tip: Rooms at rear have balcony but no view (but are quiet). Rooms at front have balcony with view (but a...

this hotel is any money worth. the friendly staff is always available and the room was always tidy. The breakfast was very good and served at the caffee a cross the street. A ver nice and cosy restaurant and hop-on bus station was around the corner. As a family hotel i recomment to every one. bathroom was cleaned every day

Room Tip: for a good Dinner I recommend the "taverna ta varelia at 7 Hiou Favierou- Athens

Tiny price, but I don't recommend to anyone. The balcony has no view at all. Weak hygiene and not isolated rooms. Broken wardrobe, old TV. Good connection to metro. Looks like a cheap old fashioned hotel in the 20th century. I will never back there again.

It's a 2 star hotel. What i paid was what i got. Bedroom was clean and good size. Didn't use TV, air conditioner, fridge, but it useful to have. There was a little balcony. Bathroom was bad. Drain was in wrong place so water was not going anywhere, stayed on floor everywhere. Some tiny tiny flies were there. but i liked the hair dryer. Staffs were all friendly and nice. Gave us many advises where we can go and explain well how to get to the place. Breakfast was upstairs in a cafe across the road. Small and sometimes it was busy. Not quickly enough to clear up and stock foods. It was ok.

The room was small but more than adequate, with a balcony.Bathroom is a bit basic, shower was not ideal but did the job.The tiles were cracked as was the wash basin.TV was stuck on the same channel. The room was clean just a bit tired and dated,as was the hotel in general.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room cost 30 Euros for one night with no breakfast offered or mentioned,i wasn't even aware they served breakfast!

Very cheap, close to metro station, staff was very friendly and helped us a lot by suggesting places to visit and how to get there. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily, breakfast was included although it was very basic. And most importantly, free wifi in the rooms!

However, the bathroom was very small, you could shower while sitting on the toilet! We were advised by the staff not to walk around the hotel at night because the area wasn't safe but we didn't have any bad experiences.
