This is the second time we have stayed here. We book the hotel for our last night in Greece (after island hopping) before flying from Athens the next day. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean facilities. Free WiFi if you have your own laptop or free internet access via two laptops in the lobby. Neighbourhood is busy, especially in the evening but did not feel threatened. Very close to tube station. Would recommend.

Excellent hotel, pretty close to the centre (just 5-6 metro stations away from Acropolis). Very clean, with hydromassage bath, free underground parking and fancy furniture. If I go back to Athens at some point, it is definitely the first option.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on 12th/13th June 2011 as part of a city break before heading over to Santorini and thought that it was a lovely hotel at an excellent rate.

The rooms have excellent air conditioning, great jacuzzi bathtub and lots of little features such as star-like lights about the bed which change colours. Nice touches. It also has free wifi - two free laptops with a printer in the dining area in case you need to check your mail etc. The staff are really friendly and helpful and allowed us to book our ferry tickets using the reception phone.

As others have stated - the area around the hotel is quite rundown and it is an unusual area to find a hotel of this standard within such an area. I must agree with the other reviews in that at no point did we feel unsafe. We walked from the hotel to the acropolis (abt 40mins) and walked back in darkness and it was absolutely fine. Much of athens is covered in graffitti but this doesn't mean that is a dodgy area. There is a supermarket around the corner and a great bakery a couple of blocks away which is great for snacks and breakfast.

The best advice I can offer is to make sure you take a map or directions of how to find the hotel from the metro stations (the hotel website woudn't load on my iphone!). It is not obvious that the hotel is on the street until you get to it. We spent a while looking for it after catching the metro from the airport to victoria tube stop. It is set back slightly from the road and the streets are tree lined.

Another point worth noting is that when catching the metro to Victoria (Line 1) for some reason the trains don't go past Omnia and you have to get off and get on a train across the platform both when going north and south. It is also worth noting that the train doesn't stop at Monastiraki on Line 1 when heading northbound due to track repairs. Therefore, if coming from the airport as we did change at syntagma and catch the train to Omnia or Larissa Station. This will save you a lot of trouble and confusion.

Other reviews are correct. The neighbourhood isn't the most comforting but the hotel is no less than perfect. Clean rooms, whirlpool bath tub and excellent service from the staff. I will definately stay at this hotel again if I'm going back to Athens.

Beware of pickpockets in the metro!!!

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. We arrived a little after 9:00am in the morning and asked the front desk to keep our bags. But the lady at the desk made the room available right away (we did not even request), and let us check in. We flew in from Rome that morning and had to take bus and cab to reach the hotel due to "metro strike". The accommodating gesture at the hotel was a real welcome after those tiring experiences.

The hotel is 5 min away from Victoria Metro Station. The area is rather crowded and noisy, but nothing intimidating. I have seen hotel guests coming back (on foot) even around midnight.

The room was of good size and quite clean. It had a balcony - nothing much to see from there except for the busy street and high-rise apartments. But if you opt to have a late night snack, it's a nice place to sit. Furniture were ok, and we got a mini fridge; no coffeemaker, though. One of the things I loved about the room was that it had quite a few power outlets (we travel with a good number of gadgets, and in most hotels it becomes a problem to recharge them due to very limited number of power outlets). The bathroom had a bathtub with water jets. The road was noisy throughout the night; but there was a glass door for the balcony, and once that was shut, almost no noise comes in (at least in 4th floor rooms). We paid around $100.00 per night, and I feel, it worth the money.

Our room was very nice - clean, modern, comfortable. Located close to two Metro lines. Only strange thing is the hotel is located in a semi-run-down neighborhood. Not unsafe however.
