Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights based on the reviews previously submitted. We were not disappointed. The hotel is clean, modern, well furnished and staffed with extremely friendly and knowledgable personnel. The hotel is located in a urban residential neighborhood, with sidewalks, parallel parked cars and cross streets. This is not a tourist area, as you walk from the Victoria Metro Station you pass retail outlets such as optical stores, small grocery stores, shoemaker shops, art stores, a bank and a couple of neighborhood restaruants. Coming from a major US city, we felt right at home and were never apprehensive. The breakfast was an additional charge of 7 euros, and consisted of bread, rolls, jellies, yougart, juice and a small pot of coffee. We tried it only once. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked just fine. There was sufficient hot water and water pressure at the shower. The hotel is truly centrally located, as just two blocks west of the hotel is the main Athens train station; two blocks east of the hotel is the Victoria Metro station and one additional block east (past Victoria station) is one of the major bus stations where you can catch buses going to the out of town toruist sites (Sounion etc).

No question about it, this hotel is a excellent choice for anyone who is looking for a clean modern hotel at a very decent price. I highly recommend this establishment and plan to return in the near future with other members of my family.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 401, which was facing the street and adjacent to the elevator. The room was quiet...

This friendly modern hotel has very confy rooms with a proper bath. Sadly the pillows a hard and chunky so better bring something else.
Good hotel although the neighbourhood isn't all too great. When we were their we saw a thief checking out his recent loot on the street.

Centrotel is a great place to stay. We spent six nights there during our trip to Greece. First, the property itself: the hotel is in sterling condition, inside and out. Beautiful tiles, carpets and appointments throughout the property. When you enter the reception are you know you are in a great hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are in immaculate condition and are as clean as any hotel I have ever been in.
Service: The front desk is manned by true professionals who are always cheerful and ready to help you with any question or problem that you might have. They arranged cabs for us, ordered pizza for us and gave us lots of useful information about how to get around in Athens. Evi, Dina, Peter and George were all great. We seemed to deal with George the most (timing) and found him to be a great asset to the hotel.

The breakfast (E 7.50) was great, more than you needed with a wide variety including great bread, jam, yogurt, coffee and more. The young lady who served us was efficient and pleasant.

Now, the only downside to Centrotel is the location. It is not located in the best neighborhood, but is only a couple hundred yards from the Victoria station, giving you quick and easy access to the sights of central Athens. The neighborhood appears to have suffered a downturn in fortune since the economic collapse and is very tired. Although the neighborhood is off-putting, we never had any hint of trouble all the time we were there.

I can recommend this hotel highly.

Room Tip: The rooms are quiet. We had a room that faced the street with a balcony and one that faced the ins...

We took a taxi from Victoria station as it was late and the taxi took us past graffiti covered buildings on the way to the hotel - that concerned us. But it turned out to be a good, but dirty neighbourhood. Choose this hotel for the value, relatively good location and comfortable sleep and don't expect luxury.

Location: about 15 min walk to the Victoria station past delapidated old buildings, lots of graffiti which we don't see in Singapore. Graffiti is Athens ! Convenient metro guides, easy walk to the Victoria park.

Hotel: Reception is sleepy but works well. Rooms are large, clean and with a balcony overlooking some other apartments. Bath tub in bathroom has jacuzzi which you can use at certain hours. Beds large and comfortable. No kettle in the room but if you ask for it, they will bring one up with coffee cups. No free coffee or tea bags - BYO, No free water.

Food: We had breakfast one morning and it's continental style - no meat or cheese, just bread, egg, yoghurt and butter / confit. Tea n coffee. OK, but better if you eat at the cafes nearby because they offer better value.

Service: hotel has a minimalist approach to service, not many staff around. But staff who are around are very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a hot water kettle and they will bring one up to the room. Concierge was helpful in giving...

Centrotel is good value, 8 mins from Larissa station and totally safe place to stay at Athens.

You will be rejuvenated with the jacuzzi bath after spending time visiting the sights at Athens.

Friendly staff and very safe underground parking for drivers. Clean and modern rooms - wifi connections available in rooms and lobby areas.

Recommended for its value, spacious rooms and nice jacuzzi baths.

Beautiful hotel, worth any cent! and we didn't pay so many cents there... :)
Room was very big, very clean, in the bathroom we found a Jacuzzi (but didn't use it..) - very recommended!
Staff was very pleasant and nice.
The hotel also offers a free underground parking - you need it in this area if you rent a car, and they allow us to use it along the day event after we checked out.

View from the room is horrible, but your'e not going to Athens for a view...
The location is also not the best in Athens - however it has a metro station in a 10 min walk distance.

We stayed for two nights In a suite. The room was spacious for 2 adults and 2 children with one queen bed and one double sofa. The hotel itself is totally new and very clean. The breakfast was continental and costs 7,5 euro per person per day. The staff was very friendly ready to help and always with a smile. The area is not the best of Athens but there is nothing to see close by so you don't need to walk around. All in all a great hotel with reasonable rate. We will come again when visiting Athens. The family from Santorini.
