The staff spoke good English and was very friendly and informative.
We have been upgraded to better rooms on the roof terrace.
View of Acropolis is so inspiring!
Wi-Fi signal was best in the roof terrace.
The rooms were very clean, quiet, comfortable, the bathroom had a small but powerful shower.
The location is fantastic!!! 10 min to Acropolis, 5 min to Syntagma square and underground station, 5 min to Monastiraki.
We took metro to Piraeus early in the morning - less than 30 min to get there.
We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the terrace - last floor are the best.

We stayed for 3N. After an intensive review of all the hotels that fit our budget, this perfectly fit our requirements being
1) In a great location. We were an easy walk away from all the historic sites. I was surprised at how geographically close we were to the Acropolis entrance actually (although the uphill walk was a bit of a pain coming from a flat city with lifts and escalators littered throughout.) Also close to many restaurants, the walking streets where you can buy souvenirs etc. Very close to the metro stations Monsastiraki and Syntagama
2) Quiet. The street we were on was very much so, most of the shops seemed to be closed even on weekdays (not sure if it was just because everyone was on holiday?). For single female travellers it could be a little unnerving at night, though nothing that would put me off personally, if I were alone I'd choose a more crowded route back, that's all.
3) Clean. Rooms were cleaned daily when we were out. No bugs or anything like that.
4) Front desk staff spoke English well and provided orientation info upon checking in
5) Bang on the budget!

Other positives
- We were on the first level of rooms and without a lift it was a plus not carrying our bags up the stairs!
- Wifi signal was strong in our room (Room 4 I think)
- Nice little terrace with an Acropolis view for breakfast on the roof top
- Breakfast was good the day we ate it (we got a rate without breakfast)
- Fresh linen after 2 nights
- Bedside plugs were available so I could charge my phone and have it next to me when I wake up
- Easy to find from Syntagama if you do your Google research

Things I don't like, but these are by no means drawbacks at all.
- Shower pressure was pretty weak
- Room was tight on space, I don't see how suitcases would have fit. Perhaps under the bed. (We had 2 backpacks).
- In our room the A/C unit was directly blowing on to your face while you slept so not great - it was too hot to keep the window open in summer.
- The lady taking our orders and preparing our breakfast wasn't the most fluent in English but of course we got by

I am a very easy/deep sleeper, and that I could have a good night's rest meant the bed and pillows were okay!

All in all REALLY good value for money.

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very happy with the hotel. It's only a block or two from the Plaka district. Quiet, clean, comfortable room and the staff was very friendly. Great value for the money, would definitely stay here again.

Great location between Syndagma and Monastriki metros, on a quiet street on the north edge of the Plaka district. We got a free upgrade to a fancier double room with a view of the Greek cathedral. The room was very modern, with the largest shower of our trip - complete with glass doors and multi-spray system. The beds and pillows were also of a newer foam material, which gave us a very restful sleep. Hotel is just a short walk to all the sights and tons of sidewalk cafe and restraunt choices - couldn't get a much better location. Top floor breakfast veranda is very nice, with a view of the Acropolis on the west side. Staff was very good - they booked a cab for us for the morning and it was right on time.
Only downside was the lack of an elevator - but it's only a one or two flight climb up the spiral staircase. For breakfast, there was only one person preparing it ( no buffet ), so it took a while as we were second in line.

Room Tip: No noise to worry about as the area streets are quiet. Get an upgrade or spring for a deluxe room...

This hotel is so affordable. It is a 2-3 minute walk from Syntagama square (the last stop on the airport bus). I was in a very tiny room, but it was very clean. The staff were also so helpful and went out of their way to make sure you were fine. There is no elevator so if you plan to have a lot of luggage, be prepared to walk it up some flights of stairs. The view from the communal balcony is breathtaking especially at night. I got my first glimpse of the Acropolis from there (sadly have to admit teared up a bit)! The young woman that made the continental breakfast was fantastic too. I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Athens.

Room Tip: If you are close the balcony, it could be loud from the people talking

We had a couple of nights here either side of a trip to Santorini in order to explore Athens a bit, and found that it was right in the heart of things - taking only a few minutes to get to Syntagma Square, the Acropolis and other sights, and there are some great restaurants just nearby.

The rooms we had both had lovely balconies, decent air-con and memory-foam mattresses. Everything was clean and fresh and everything seemed to be working OK, and our only criticism is that the bathrooms ended up getting a bit wet, since one had only a poorly-shutting shower curtain, and the other had a dodgy seal on the shower cubicle, but otherwise, great.

Staff were fantastic and very helpful, both about our late arrival requirements and places to go in Athens.

Taking the good value breakfast (try the island special) on the roof terrace gives you a morning view of the Acropolis.

Don't expect the Hilton - it's a great little private hotel in a great location and won't break the bank.

Room Tip: Rooms 2 and 7 were great, with nice corner balconies.

For 70 euro/night, this room was a great value. Easy walking to all historic sites and in the heart of the Plaka. Free wifi, plus a shared computer downstairs available to all guests. Very comfortable bed. Rooftop balcony open to all guests, two of the tables have a view of the acropolis. The balcony was never crowded, usually we were the only people up there.
