The pictures of the hotel both exteriror and interior that you find on the internet are not excatly what you would expect when you arrive. Yes the hotel looks nice but is in a very average looking neighbourghhod. The rooms are clean but small and certainly not what is shown on the website. The hotel on the inside is very old. We were very dissapointed.
The staff were very unenthusiatic and hardly smiled.

A big duplex room with 2 soft queen beds and 2 single beds on the upper level! We have not seen any elevator, but check if there might be one. Positive impression for the high level assistance deserved to guest by the receptionist and for the rich breakfast (avoid coffee that can be rated the worst ever tasted).

Very small dusty rooms. The pictures of the hotel which we've seen on the site are far from reality. The staff were indifferent and not helpful at all. Very poor breakfast.
I don't know, who is writing all this "great, perfect , beautiful " reviews, but except of location we did not find any correspondence.
We enjoyed our stay in Athens, but will never be back to this hotel.

We stayed in the big family room. There were two twin beds in a loft, 2 double beds, and space for a rollaway! The hotel is not luxurious, but pretty clean and interesting decor. The breakfast was fine and included yogurt, fruit, bread, cereal, and some cold poached eggs. The highlight of breakfast was the juicer! My family loved cutting their own oranges and making fresh orange juice!

The pictures on the hotel website are much better than the real thing! The hotel was ok but it did not seem very clean and looked quite out-dated. The staff were not overly helpful and we did not receive any help lugging our massive bags up the stairs! Upon check in they just give you the key and point you in the rough direction of your room. Not really what you expect if you have just come on a long journey and are very tired.
On the plus side, the location is good for visiting the major tourist sites and it is near to the Metro station. However, the street seems quite dodgy (there is a sex shop next door), but maybe that is just Athens in general. We would not return to Athens, it is quite dirty and unfriendly.

A small hotel on a busy street. But NO street noise at night with aircon on and doors/windows closed! Good rooms with great shower and aircon. A short walk to the New acropolis museum and nearby Acropolis, markets etc. Not as central as the Plaka hotels, but MUCH more reasonably priced! Close to metro station. No roof terrace or swimming pool. Donna is one of the best, most helpful and friendliest receptionist/managers in the business! A very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the street if noise is a big issue for you

This hotel was OK. We had a family room and it was spacious. The toilet was wonky and you cannot flush toilet paper which is irritating but overall the acomodation is fine. Two things worthy of note are that the staff are pretty friendly and helpful (though they did try to steer us to an affiliated restaurant when we asked for dinner recommendations) and that the location is convenient but a bit dodgy. Syngrou avenue is a major and loud thoroughfare and the hotel is a little closer to the curb crawling seedy adult entertainment district than a family might find desirable. In fact, there are sex shops a block in either direction and men dressed as "ladies" plying some sort of trade the next block up. The good news is that it is not really dangerous but the neighborhood is also not necessarily pleasant. This is Athens however and frankly large swathes of it can be problematic so to some extent it goes with the territiroy. It should be said that it is not nearly as scary say as the Omonia Square area which one generally wants to exit as soon as possible.
