“Very nice”
Reviewed 8 June 2012

We only stayed one night.

The rooms are a bit small, but very nice, clean and beautiful.

The breakfast is delicious!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Seeing as we only had one night in Athens, we tried to fit seeing everything in, in a short time. We just got back from the Acropolis and actually had to have checked out by then, but when we asked if we can quickly take a shower before we catch our flights back home, they were very accommodating and had no problem.

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights (11/14 March) and both thought the hotel was lovely. The staff, particularly Andrea, Gallini and Donara were really friendly and very helpful. We will be staying here every year now and will stay for a week next time. We recommend this hotel to everyone as you cannot fault anything, the beds are so comfortable, the breakfast is fantastic and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming, thank you.
Thank you and hope to see you again soon.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We originally decided to stay here based on other tripadvisor reviews and the great price that was offered online...if you booked months ahead. We were glad we did! The location was perfect. It was near the Acropolis and the trendy Plaka neighborhood. The subway was also very close by, which was great - as it was very easy to use and get around the city that way. (including the airport)

The room itself was small, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern and had a big shower. The bed was comfortable, which is sometimes hard to find in Greece. The folks at the front desk were nice and spoke English well. We absolutely loved the breakfast that was included! There were an array of fruits, pastries, yogurt, eggs and more. Plus, there was our favorite: fresh squeezed orange juice!

I'd definitely recommend the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel on your next trip to Athens!

I really liked this hotel. It was a very great value and in a good location close to the Plaka and Acropolis. I stayed there on May 19 and May 20. The people are very warm and accommodating and helped me with any questions I had -- Donna(?) was a very nice lady at the front desk. The room was small but very comfortable. I recommend them and will stay again when visiting Athens.

My family of four (2 adults, 2 small children) stayed at Acropolis Museum Boutique hotel for 3 nights last May 6, 2012. We stayed in one room with a second floor that had 2 small beds. The stairs to the second floor was a bit steep, but the kids loved it. They liked the chandelier lights and canopy type curtains on the ceiling.
During the night, it was a bit noisy as we can hear the street noise.
Breakfast food was adequate.
Taxi from Syntagma square (McDo) to the hotel was around EUR5.
We got the Athens Sightseeing tour and a taxi tour to go to the hillside viewpoint.
There was no grocery in Syntagma Square nor beside the hotel.
There was a fastfood resto a few meters away from hotel called Goody's. It was near the Metro station also.
We loved the fast Wi-Fi which we got free during our online reservation at their website.
Reception personnel were friendly and nice.

The hotel is right on the corner of one of the main streets in Athens so street noise can be a nuisance. We stayed twice for a total of 5 nights. The rooms are not large and have small shower bathrooms. The rooms are interestingly decorated. A lot is said about the beds, we found them to be just OK, despite there eco ratings. The breakfast is good with both hot and cold selections though the choice is not extensive. This is a 2-3 star hotels so set expectations accordingly. That said there is a self service orange juicer provided.
The location is good a short walk to the Plaka and Acropolis area. The hotel is called Acropolis Museum Hotel, however, the new museum is a kilometre walk away..

Room Tip: We stayed twice once in front room on the main street and once in a room at the rear of the hotel. I...

We booked this hotel through their website after reading the favourable Tripadvisor reviews. Our experience reflects the reviews. The best mode of transport from the airport is the Metro, change at Syntagma and get off at Syngrou-Fix which is only 5 minuts walk to the hotel The hotel is on a busy, noisy main road just a next to a sex shop( this really is not a problem) but the double-glazed windows help dampen the noise pollution. The room was clean, well decorated, with air-conditioning, free wi-fi and a small but adequate en-suite. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Although there was no coffee or tea facilities in the room, this was freely available in the breakfast room at all hours. The Acropolis, the museum and the Temple of Zeus was only walking distance from there. Andrea at the reception was helpful with information and suggestions. Lots of eating places near the metro- Ambrosia near the Fix metro station was value for money with a good selection of salads etc. Another place to try was Manh Manh nearby in a side street with an interesting menu but more expensive. Avoid the eateries with touts soliciting business The hop-on hop-off bus trip is recommended to explore the city, we got one day free ,an extra 4 Euros included the port of Piraeus and got to view the Olympic stadium. We like walking so spent the evenings exploring the numerous walking paths and trails around the Acropolis mingling with locals watching the sunset and the Acropolis awash with the floodlights. We were very lucky to see the Acropolis on the night of the super moon. The local Grecians congregate with their children to play football, picnic, relax with their loved ones etc. Syntagma square is another place to visit especially during the changing of the guards at 11am on Sunday. Look out for the resident four legged canines who have a free run at the Acropolis and the Syntagma square. They look fairly well fed and obviously tolerated by the locals. Lots of museums to see, the flea market has an interesting array of goods on offer. We enjoyed our city break, balmy warm weather, cloudless blue skies, ancient historical sites, antique relics and good food. Athens is a great place to visit and this hotel was an excellent choice.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main road can be noisy but back street rooms have no views outside, they face walls...
