“Perfect Blend of Hotel and Inn Features”

It is not often that you find a place like this hotel. It is small enough so that you are very well cared for and large enough to have complete privacy with all the features of larger hotels, such as an on-site small restaurant and bar, and elevator. We stayed in Room 11, which is a superior/deluxe room, which was located on the corner of two busy streets and yet was not noisy at all. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was a good size with a hair dryer. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on; the cocomat mattress was so amazing we plan to purchase one for our home, as soon as the Canadian distributor begins selling them. The breakfast was great, we really enjoyed making our own fresh-squeezed orange juice and the chocolate crepes were delicious. The only thing I didn't like about the breakfast were the always-cold eggs and omelette, I like mine hot. The coffee was really delicious. The hotel is walking distance to all major sites, and many wonderful restaurants. I was unfortunately ill at the time of my visit and the staff went out of their way to give me tea and toast late in the evening because I had had nothing to eat earlier, and provided this at no charge to us. The hotel has free internet service, and can assist with tour bookings. All major tour operators will come to this hotel to pick you up as well, making it very convenient and simple to enjoy tours within Athens or excursions outside the city. This is a wonderful hotel, very charming, sophisticated yet filled with warmth. We were delighted to be there and would definitely return to this lovely place.

I read so many favorable reviews that I felt it would be foolish to stay elsewhere. I was wrong. When I arrived at the hotel, the first thing I noticed was that the pictures were far better than the real thing. The fact that it was two doors away from a sex shop did not bother me so much as the fact that my room was barely big enough to fit the very worn out and old bed. To make matters worse, there was no place to put my suitcase and belongings. The room had a closet, but it wouldn't fit anything anyway. I had to put my medium sized suitcase on the tiny night stand and then put all my other stuff on the floor, where there wasn't much room to walk to begin with. The street the hotel is on is very near to the Acropolis and the Plaka, which were nice bonuses. But the price of the tiny shoebox sized room was far beyond what it should have been. Another downer was that the hotel did not charge me when I booked the room, so the price of the room essentially skyrocketed by a good sum by the time they did charge my credit card when I checked out.

Excellent hotel. It was renovated and refurbished in 2007 and has a good appearance. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the communal areas are clean and well appointed. The staff spoke good English and were helpful at all times. The hotel is quite small with only 20 or so rooms so it was a quite hotel in terms of people. The location is on a main road in Athens so there is a bit of traffic noise - but its no worse than any other city hotel. The location however is excellent and is within a short walk of may restaurants and toursit shops in the Plaka area. The acropolis and other sites of interest are very close and the location in terms of the tourist sites couldn't really be any better. The rooms have coco fibre mattresses which are increadibly comfy and give a good nights sleep. You cant put paper down the toilet - which is a bit of a cullture shock - but this is due to ancient plumbing generally and the same throughout the city - just be prepared. The breakfast was quite good with a buffet style and a mixture of things to eat and drink. The hotel also offers free internet access with two communal terminals in the lounge area. The television channels available is a bit limited - BBC world news was the only English speaking channel - but we weren't there to watch the TV anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We went to Athens on february and chose this hotel because of the price for the location and reviews saying that the bed is great. Well, it's indeed one of the best beds we've ever slept on. We actually caught ourselves reading the brochure about the matress and pillows brand they use, wondering if we could get some.
we took a room in the back, that didn't face the avenue, as told by some reviews. It was quiet, so maybe you should mention the same when booking your room.
The front desk staff, as said in other reviews, was great! Donara is really friendly and helpfull, showed us all the ways to touristic atractions and all.
We arrived earlier, the room was not ready but she let us keep our luggage in a kind of storage, while the room was ready, as we went off for a walk in the neighborhood.
The hotel is very small, rooms are very small, breakfast is simple. But everything is tidy and, in the end, we wanted a place to sleep at night after a whole day walking in Athens lovely streets. And those matresses provided us the best rest ever for a whole new day of tours.
If you have kids, it might be a bit uncomfortable because of the size of the room. If you want pool and facilities, don't choose this hotel.
For us, it was perfect!
we could just walk to Adrian's Arch and temple of ollimpian zeus (2 blocks away); Acropolis, Plaka, Syntagma square (arround 5 blocks away), Monastiraki: all very easy to find and, if you didn't want to walk, there's a metro station right down the road.
And the trip ended with simple but sweet words from Donara: " Be in love as much as you can!"
Thanks for everything! We would certainly recommend this hotel for single couples and friends.

This hotel is a great find! The reviews are true! The location is incredibly close to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum...it’s an easy 10-minute walk to these attractions along with restaurants The staff was very helpful, and our room was clean and nicely decorated The only thing you have to be prepared to do is carry your luggage upstairs....Some people complained of the noise from the street...We slept right through any noise - because the beds are wonderful!

The hotel has FREE wireless Internet, which worked great.
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast -while we were there the pastries/croissants were fresh - there were chocolate crepes and fresh orange juice...and the coffee was great!

Overall, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants affordable and "elegant" accommodations in a very central location. It's not necessarily luxurious, but it's a good deal.

We just recently got back from our 3 week European vacation and Athens was the first city we visited in Greece. After doing extensive research here on TripAdvisor, I found that the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel fit perfectly into our budget and our location criteria for the hotel.

I did all of the hotel bookings for this trip and found that I wanted to be within easy walking distance of all the sites because we only had roughly 2 days to see everything. We stayed for two nights in a basic room and it was actually very nice. There were hardwood floors, a big bed (really it was 2 twin beds pushed together), a beautiful marble bathroom (that was a little small, but suited our needs fine), and a set of double doors that led out onto a balcony. There are cute little chandeliers hanging by the bed and above the TV to give the room a cute boutique feel and the room was spotless, which was a must for us.

The hotel itself is located right off of a major street, which made it easy to locate at night after a late dinner and was only a 10 minute walk (if that) to the Acropolis. We really liked the location of the hotel.

The room rate also came with breakfast every morning, which we really liked. There were eggs, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, cereal and an assortment of breads and coffee.

The only complaint I would make about the hotel was that we were not familiar with how the remotes worked and spent one night without air. This was not good. The hotel would have received a 5 had the concierge walked us to our room and showed us how to operate the lights and the air. It took us a few minutes to figure out the lights and an entire day to figure out the air. We definitely felt super dumb after we did finally figure it out, so by just showing us, we could have avoided the dense feeling and the night without air.

Otherwise, our stay was great and we would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family!

We stayed at the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel for a few nights and really enjoyed our stay. It's a quick walk to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and Plaka. The room was clean, fairly spacious by European standards, and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also great.

The only downside are the stairs- be prepared to drag your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs during your stay.
