I stayed at the King George hotel in June. The day we arrived, we decided to eat at this hotels restaurant. The restaurant had an open view of Athens and the Acropolis and the restaurant itself was very classy. When we ordered the good, we realized just how "Americanized" the food was. Hamburgers, french fries, chicken, the only thing Greek was the feta cheese, and those amazing breadsticks. The prices were a little much too. Well, the View was spectacular...

Greece does not abound with great restaurants so Tudor Hall stands out. The food, dinner, was fresh, imaginative and served with charm and professionalism whilst the view of the Acropolis is quite astounding.

I am a regular visitor to Athens, and have reviewed many restaurants in the City.
My favourite restaurant has always been the Roof Terrace at the Grande Bretagne hotel where I stay.
There is a new restaurant as equally good as the Roof Terrace and is managed by the same management as the Grande Bretagne.
Tudor hall is more Greek than its name implies, serving great modern Greek cuisine in an interesting mix of ultra elegant to casual atmosphere, depending on if you sit on the terrace or inside.
This is a stand out restaurant in not only food, but also service.
Crisa the manager runs a very professional team including her assistant Savas.
The warmth of the service combined with the excellent food makes this restaurant a must for anyone to visit.
In my first week in Athens on this trip I have eaten there three times and will dine there again before I leave.
Try the home made ravioli with spinach, mushrooms and goats cheese, it is sublime. The fresh lobster with hylopites pasta is not only fantastic but reasonably priced. Also try the home made lasagna with shrimp and basil, or the fresh fish.
In fact all the dishes I ate were superb.
