This museum is in itself a work of art! There are so many wonderful objects to see - you could spend hours here. The statues are magnificent and I love the way the frieze of the parthenon is represented in the museum to mirror how it actually was on the parthenon itself. Make sure you listen to the video about the construction and destruction of the Parthenon, shown on the upper level - the museum should sell copies of it, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Excellent new museum. The view from the cafe is spectacular, my cucumber salad was OK, but would order something else next time.

The Acropolis Museum is a modern building that houses a collection of objects tracing the history of the site. It's best to walk to the top floor where you can view a DVD before looking at the hundreds of artifacts on other floors. Allow plenty of time to make the most of the experience.

I am a frequent traveler to Greece and finally had the chance to check out the New Acropolis Museum. It is exquisite from the structure itself to the new displays and should be paired with a visit to the Acropolis. It was fabulous to be able to see the marbles from the Parthenon on the 3rd level and the history of the Acropolis itself is laid out in a very logical fashion.

It was beautiful! Very well designed, lots of artifacts. Especially liked the underground excavations and the third floor! We ate in the cafeteria-delicious and affordable.
