“Impressive museum”

Very clear, very spacious museum, for those who love stones and history ! Though, it's a pity you can't take pictures. Don't understand why ... Anyway, this place is impressive. Must see.

“Amazing museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

You really should make this a must see on your Athens trip. This is a beautifully designed and laid out museum, with an incredible Parthenon of sorts on the top floor where you can see what it would be like walking through it and seeing the sculptures lining the top. Even our young kids loved it. Ended up spending about 3 hours ... In a museum! ... With kids!

“Number one in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

You will not believe-the "raining" of beautiful sculptures, the different layers of history, the easiest walk in Greek History with a very comprehensive display of history facts and artefacts, not to mention the superbly done short film on the history of the Parthenon. Worthy of visiting more than once-Really. The chance of Falling in Love with such exquisite beauty !

“The best museum ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

Come on, it's the Acropolis... Awasome! Just don't miss it, it is a life experience.
Especially the top floor is a realistic (in size) simulation of the parthenon metope. As you walk around it you have a clear view of the actual temple in the distance.
Really sad to see the empty spaces still waiting for the stolen parthenon marbles to return from the british museum.

Fantastic new building, and the finds exposed and explained in a wholly new way. Light, exposure and information. Perfect..
