Description: The restaurant is a perfectly restored villa from the early years of the previous century. The decor strikes the perfect balance between luxury and ambience, creating an atmosphere which is quite formal but still unpretentious, cozy and elegant. The restaurant's creative cuisine has been awarded many times and promises to impress you with a brilliant parade of re-synthesized Greek cuisine The chef Gikas Xenakis is one of the best proponents of the New Greek Cuisine movement which now attracts the most talented chefs in Greece. His philosophy is one that combines a calm but confident control of the modern cooking techniques with his memories of traditional home food cooked with the best and freshest ingredients that the sea and land of Greece offers. At Aleria you will enjoy Greek fine dining in wonderful surroundings in what is considered as one of the best value for money restaurants.

Aleria is what a good restaurant should be... Amazing service the waiters very informed about what they where serving ... The food well balanced with wonderful tastes. We had the set menu which it was amazing Greek kuzin with a modern twist not your traditional, modern take on classic comfort food, very good wine list decently money for value. One of the best restaurants on Greece

A memorable dinner: service was impeccable, explanation of every dish and wines was so helpful, each dish was prepared to perfection. My wife and I chose the tasting menu I and we were delighted with everything. Lamb was cooked so well it came out tender yet also nicely browned and flavourful. Squid dish with fennel had raisins which added great dimension. Pistachio cream dessert was light and great end to meal. Hope to return again someday.

Went for dinner here in July after a hot day of walking the crowded streets of Athens. Don't be put off by the nondescript commercial neighborhood - the restaurant is in a charming house with a lovely backyard garden patio. We arrived just after they opened, and had a quirky but sublime cocktail at the bar before shifting to a table on the patio for the tasting menu with Greek wine pairings. The food takes Greek standards like croaker fish or lamb and recasts them into inventive small dishes with creative compositions that look beautiful on the plate. Unusual Greek wines and we appreciated getting just enough backstory on each to make it interesting. Take your time and enjoy the experience.

One of our primary goals on vacation is to have outstanding memorable food - this is the place for that. We selected the tasting menu and it was superb - the type of food when you put it in your mouth, you think... this is the best thing I have ever tasted! And at a great, reasonable price.

The beautiful space is a benefit - would come back for the food anywhere, anytime.

Our last meal after three weeks in Greece and this is the best meal, better than few 'starred' restaurants we tried. The tasting menu was executed extremely well with excellent wine pairing, every service staff was professional and friendly. Highly recommended!
