Real good and well cooked food in a hidden spot nearby a central avenue! This restaurant has a realy good variety of foods, while starters are home made and realy tasteful. The portions are extraordinary and if someone orders like Greeks must be ready for an overnight game! Service is very helpful and polite. If you seat at the outer area, don't worry; the entire area is heated. Salads follow the size of the main courses and are very-very tasteful. If I had to mention something that I didn't like, I would rather say what I say for the majority of the Greek shops; it's a shame that they don't respect people and children that don't smoke! No matter the good food, the big portions and the Greek donuts that are on the house, none of them are enjoyable if you and your kids have to smoke, while not smoking...

We have visited Myrtia during our visit in Athens for a friend's bachelor. Despite that we lived in Athens for 5+ years we didn't spotted this hidden place and went after my brother suggested visiting.
The place is like the most typical Greek taverns but the portion are extremely big and the overall conclusion value for money. You should try the Pork Chop.
You must try the 'on the house' donuts with chocolate at the end.

First of all you must be hungry, very hungry! if you are not, avoid the starters and go straight for the main. At Myrtia they serve extra large portions of good quality meats. Most of the times i go for the giant juicy pork chop. At the end you must definitely try the donuts with chocolate which are from the house and don't afraid to ask for more if you want!
