Aigyptiakon is close to my parental home. I have visited this restaurant a countless number of times during the last 30 years. First established in 1924 it offers traditional kebab, a variety of fresh salads, special starters and some more types of souvlaki, gyros, marinated barbecued meat , rare pies including Pasturmali (pie with pasturma), sutzuk (traditional oriental style sausage) on coal fire among others. Clean and good quality meat, vegetables etc. After all these years I am still not sure whether i prefer kebab in pitta bread (iskender, giaourtlu or traditional) or Alexandreia (first class chicken meat marinated and barbecued, escorted with barbecued tomatos, onions, traditional pitta bread and french fries). Among the strong points I would consider the absense of oil on pitta bread, the hand made souvlaki and the very tasty kebab at a fair price. You should estimate roughly 9-10 euros per person for a meal, make it 12-15 for a king size meal.
