The Archeological Museum in Piraeus is a true gem. However, it can be difficult to find.
Walking from the main harbour I found the easiest way was to have the quickest walk to Zea Marina, continue on the western side of this harbour until you reach a fork crossing with a kiosk (some 300 meters), then turn right. The museum is two blocks up from the harbour on the right side.
The exhibition is fantastic. The most famous artifiacts are four bronze statues of Athena, Apollo and Artemis respectively.
The museum also displays many classic statues, small artifacts and grave steles.
A preview is possible by looking up this album ("Lysbildevisning" means "View slideshow"):
I give this museum my best recommendations for everyone who is interested in classical, histoircal Greece !
