Excellent hotel for an early departing to greec islands! It's really not expensive (we paid 60 euros including beakfast) dor a cleany and charming hostel.
Don't hesitate if you like small hotel.

I stayed at the hotel while attending some seminars at Piraeus last fall.
The good things about this hotel:
1. The staff is very friendly, especially adrianna the receptionist is very informative and helpfull whenever the need comes up.
2. The room is stylish and clean, though the lights are a bit of extravagance...too complicated a system in my opinion.
3. The breakfast is adequate for a good days start.

The bad things to be noted:
1. The area is not so attractive. Walking alone especially at night makes you feel a bit uncomfortable.
2. The breakfast room at the top floor has a rather depressing view, with all these old buildings around.
3. You do need specific directions in order to find the hotel, quite difficult to locate it actually.
4. The porn channel which is easily accessible by all. What's the use of having that in a hotel where families can book a room??? Plus that it is quite annoying and degrading for the hotel itself.

On the whole an average hotel ideal for one night stay if you are on a business trip or need to catch an early ferry next morning. Otherwise, you can find much better options in Athens.

Overall
Friendly hotel at a reasonable price which is located within walking distance of the Port and the Metro. The room was very clean and comfortable. An enjoyable stay!

Facilities
Internet and breakfast were provided with the room although no other amenities were available. Despite this the young receptionist "Adriana" provided a wealth of information which really enhanced our stay.

Locality
Decor of the hotel was attractive yet it was not complimented by the surrounding area. The hotel is rather difficult to find, even after the hotels advice on which bus to use. You might consider spending a little extra on a taxi. Once settled the hotel does provide a good base to the local transport systems. (Athens 15mins metro, Port 10mins walk)

  • Liked — Valuable advice from reception, loaction and very clean room
  • Disliked — Surrounding area, Poorly designed shower(you'll see!), No Pool!

Not entirely easy to fine late at night but extremely convenient if you are taking an early morning ferry or arriving late at night. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean and overall pretty good value (they also threw in a baby cot for our daughter free of charge). Only a 10 minute walk from the metro/train station which was simple enough with a little guidance.

We will definately use this hotel again via any trips to the Greek Islands!

  • Liked — Location to the port.
  • Disliked — The elavators are so small you can only fit one person and a suitcase!!

This hotel was, in all honesty, kind of strange. To begin, I e-mailed the hotel from the U.S. asking for directions from the port. I was advised (very nicely) that we should call when we arrive since the hotel did not know where the ferry would dock.

I was advised that the hotel was very easy to find. Okay, I thought, we would probably see it from the port. We arrived from a Blue Star ferry at midnight. Is the hotel easy to find? Nope, the hotel is near some sex shops and could not be found without some help from nice locals (and after eating a Gyro). The hotel should have given us directions from the square, fountain, etc. even if we were unsure of our docking point.

Okay, we found the hotel and we are very tired - after a 8 hour ferry ride. Check in was pleasant and we were given a key to a room on the third floor. The lobby and floor was very clean and nice - boutique style (far from the seedy area surrounding the hotel). However, there was some loud music piping through the halls which we heard upon entering the room. Also, the key holder to turn on the power was hidden. Someone had to come to the room and turn on the power. Also, the music was turned down at my request. I have never heard of a hotel piping loud music in the hallways at midnight!

As for the room, it was clean, stylish, and modern. After obtaining the missing remote for the A/C downstairs, I went to the bathroom (no more details here) and was very surprised to find an empty soap dispenser and no bar soap or shampoo. There was a soap dispenser in the shower so I washed my hands there.

There are a bunch of lights on the ceiling which had to cost hundreds or maybe a thousand dollars to install. It was kind of cool. But, if you spend all that money on lights, would it hurt the hotel to throw a bar of soap in the bathroom for us?

Parents, if you are still reading, take control of that remote control at this hotel. I found a hard core porn channel right after CNN. I think it was channel 15. We did have a good night sleep - breakfast was okay the next morning. A few tips:

1. Get good directions to this hotel before arriving - especially late at night. It is in a seedy but apparent safe area.

2. Piraeus is not very attactive - only stay here for one night if you have a late ferry or morning ferry. For more than one night, take the Metro or Bus to Athens.

3. Oh, speaking of bus, the best way back to Athens is to catch the bus by the port - 3.20 euro per ticket. It takes about one hour. Don't pick it up by the hotel since it will fill up at the port and you will have to stand the whole way with your luggage.

Overall, an average experience - not terrible but probably would not stay there again. TD
