Stayed at the mitsis Laguna in October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate at all of the restraunts and found the food was lovely in every one (although sushi wasn't our cup of tea) the only thing that should be mentioned is you have to book the restraunts well in advance but once we knew we had no problem getting in. We also loved the creperie especially for a late night snack (as it's open till 2 am!) and the champagne bar where the staff were friendly and we could sit outside and enjoy a champagne cocktail :).
Our room was to a high standard with a lovely comfy bed, powerful shower and fridge topped up daily with drinks. The maids were very friendly. We loved the comfy padded sun loungers and fell asleep on them most days.
The only thing I would mention is as a young couple we wanted to go out quite a few nights and found we were a little too far out to walk anywhere however a taxi to heronnisos was only €7 so we diddnt mind.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and i couldn't complain about a think we would definitely go back and would recomend to anyone. The only problem is coming home!!!

This was our second holiday to Mitsis Laguna and I must stay, we were quite disappointed by the experience.

Staff is over-worked and this impacts the quality of the holiday. Cleaning is not done properly, service (with some exceptions) was unfriendly and food of lower quality as compared to 3 years ago.
We enjoyed the service and food at the Sushi and Asian restaurant, but this is all I can say for the moment. Creperia was nice, but it was extremely busy during our visit and we had to queue and wait for a free table with two impatient children. They also have some strange rules, which as an all-inclusive paying customer I find difficult to understand.

Stayed here in sept and most things I had read on here were true, food was cold most of the time
To get a sun lounger my poor husband got up at 6.30 every day otherwise you couldn't get a lounger, so that was 4.30 in the uk. No tea and coffee in the room and no ironing board or iron.
You can use laundry service but at 8 euros to iron a piece of clothing pretty pricey.
The only saving grace is the hotel is very pretty but over all that the staff, they are wonderful couldn't fault them at all, they were polite and very helpful, other than that will not go back

We've just returned from this hotel & wasn't made aware that we had booked the last week of the season...not the hotels fault but we paid for an all inclusive experience & chose this Hotel for the various bars & restaurants available as all inclusive hotel meals cam become a little tedious & samey! First of all we arrived late in the evening & booked a late arrival meal, basically soup & salad, not great when we had travelled for 14hrs, the waiter looked less than happy to be working late & wasn't particually friendly. Putting it down to tiredness we retired to bed & decided everything would be much better the next day. The following day we spent wandering around as when it's busy this is a hotel you need to get up eairly for to get a sunbed, having a closer look at the hotel in the daylight I have to say it is stunning & beautifully furnished. The following 2 days we had learnt our lesson & arose early to reserve the sunbeds & spent a lovely couple of days by the pool. Apart from the miserable guy working on the pool bar!!! The Themed restaurants are worth a visit as the main restaurant is ok for about a day but then starts to liken school dinners. The themed restaurants however have to be booked in advance.......3 days in advance!!!
By mid week, all the themed restaurants had closed down for the season as had the Champagne bar & Night Bar. At this point we were left with a poor choice of food in the main restaurant as they had obviously stopped ordering stock in & were using up what was left. By the Thursday we no longer had to fight for a sunbed as there were very few guests left & the majority of the complex had closed, at this point we had to complain that our hot water had been turned off. We left at 7pm on the Friday, the restaurant closed after lunch so we were unable to eat anything until around midnight on the plane home. During the last few days they were also removing the sunbeds with a fork lift truck.
By the time we left on the Friday evening the staff were basically turning the lights off after us. We spent a lot of money on this holiday & ended up feeling we were in the way & didn't get what we paid for. A real shame this hotel just didn't live up to my expectations!!!!!

Room Tip: The rooms on the Island or away from the main building may be quieter, not that it was noisey. These...

Spent a week here in October. Recommend that if you are flying home late you book the complimentary room for showering/changing early. Also recommend that you book the "other" restaurants (Italian/Cretan/Asian) early so that you can have a varied diet.
Rooms lovely - kept clean daily with clean towels. Main restaurant is fine although some of the main courses and sweets can be a bit "samey." Always plenty to eat. Meals could be improved if the hotel served bottles of wine rather than the half caraffe of red or white.
Loved the champagne bar (although it was probably just Cava). Also loved the Creperie by the main pool.
Three swimming pools to choose from although all a bit on the cool side.
Entertainment team tried hard but not to much success. The beach volleyball court is restricted in width due to the close proximity of the sea. The sand is very gritty and you will get skinned knees! It was good to meet different nationalities - German and Russian mainly (as well as us Brits).
Bus stop just on the beach road beside the hotel although we were informed that the local bus service wasn't that reliable.
We enjoyed the boat trip to Spinalonga very much.

We came here last year, and after many teething troubles we really enjoyed it with just the 3 of us.We had come back here this year for a family holiday of 6 adults.

Firstly we found Georgia the maitre d of the a la cart restaurants to be extremely rude & obnoxious. One evening she tried to cause trouble in a restaurant by picking an argument with us, over why there was so much available seating and not being able to accommodate a table for 6. Making it very embarrassing and uncomfortable for us all, others watching as she began to raise her voice. Even the waiter was distressed and was trying to defuse the situation. Finally she made us sit outside but all together. We didn't need this to start off our holiday.

Also the cleaners had a very small amount of time to clean our rooms. Baths, sinks and showers were not cleaned daily, even down to our bed linen not being changed. Towel's in our rooms had to be requested but took hours to arrive. Noise from other rooms below us was just terrible and to get up at 07:00 - 07:30 just to book for an al a cart restaurant for 5 days in advance made my family and I very restless and tired throughout the week!
We did tell the manager about the all the issues, he wasn't overly concerned.

Wont be returning next year!

Room Tip: there is no quieter side.noise from moving beds & furniture what ever floor your staying on, sta...

Went on recommendation of daughter and son in law who went last year and it was all they said and more. We were 2 couples and on check in were shown larger rooms and a suite if we wished to change from our separate rooms. Kept our Camelia rooms and they were perfect with a pool seconds away. Rooms were on the ground floor and beautiful, bathroom with a bath and two showers!! Buffet restaurant always had an amazing range of food but the themed restaurants were our favourites, easy to book but if you didn't have a reservation you could wander by and almost always get a table. Our overall favourite was the Cretan Tavern, the food was amazing and a special mention and thank you must go to Patroklos and Panagiotis who looked after us so well each time we went. Champagne bar was another favourite for the vodka champagne and of course the lovely views.Waiter service in the bars was excellent especially the night bar where they would send you back to your table if you tried to approach the bar !!

Room Tip: Camellia rooms are just far enough away from main restaurants and pool but have their own quieter po...
