Hotel Pitho (Rooms Pitho) in Delphi was the surprise of our trip to Greece. The owners Vicky and George's warmth and friendship and tireless devotion to customers (who are treated as family in the truest sense of that term) was unbelievable. Perched on one of the two main drags in Delphi, Vicky greeted us by saving a perfect parking place directly across the street from the hotel! She then welcomed us, advising of places to eat, things to do and views to see - and what views!!! The room was spotless and perfect with a quaint and delightful balcony. This a 3 star hotel for 1 star prices! Later that day, after a tiring tour of the incredible ruins of Delhpi, Vicki and her son sat with us in the dining room and provided us some local wine to whet our palate. We stayed only one night sadly -- something we regretted throughout the trip. Next morning. George prepared breakfast. Features his homemade yogurt which was the best yogurt I had during the two week vacation in Greece. George also told us stories about Delphi, the town and the people . He informed us of hidden archaeological treasures not found in travel books. If I ever return, I intend to make my stay in Delphi with George and Vicky a longer and even more satisfying one. Thank you George and Vicky for welcoming me to the warmth and vitality and friendship of Greece!

George was very welcoming , informative and engaging. He made sure that everything in the room was up to standards . Had the best sleep in comfy and quiet room. Delphi is part of the must see ruins while in Greece. My spouse was here a couple of years ago and George treated us like family. His recommendations for restaurants were spot on and the breakfast was delightful with yogurt and home made sour cherry preserves my favourite. Delphi has a small town feel and all the folks we met were warm and welcoming especially when we told them that George and Vicki had sent us.

We had a very relaxing 2 night stay. Our room faced the back with a small balcony looking out on a lovely stone wall. The yoingest son brought us a couple of wine glasses with finese. Breakfast was varied and excellent. George did a great job directing us to the ancient footpaths above and below town...well worth the walk!

First of all, we absolutely LOVED Delphi. Every aspect about this little town was perfect. The most delicious food, the most amazing ruins, and the friendliest people!! Everything is within walking distance from the Pitho; the ruins, the restaurants, and the stores with some of the best shopping in Greece. For the best tour of the ruins, contact Georgia Hasiota, she is beyond fantastic!
As for the Pitho itself, it is a rare treat to experience this level of customer service and personal care. The hotel is very clean and beds very comfortable. We were even given the choice of which room we wanted to stay in. I can't say enough good things about our host, George. By the end of our stay it felt like we were old friends. Be sure to check out his store on the main level for some unique items that you will not find in other stores. We will definitely stay at the Pitho Rooms whenever we return to Delphi. Highly recommended!!

Thanks George!

We recently stayed with George and it was great. We are family of four with Grandma and George could not have done more for us. Breakfast was fantastic with the highlight being his mother in laws sour cherry jam- yum! Rooms we're budget but clean and everything we needed. George had a lovely family and really made us feel welcome. If you are going to Delphi, stay with George. ALso highly recommend the museum and ruins as a must do in Greece.
