The main street in Delphi is lined with hotels with little to distinguish them one from another and in the spring of 2012 euro-crisis most of them were empty. The only other guests at the Athina were Bulgarian. It's a family run hotel; the children were doing their homework in the dining room.
The place is somewhat sterile except for a number of original paintings on the walls. Our room faced the street but logically the rooms on the other side of the hall must have a great view over the valley all the way to the Gulf of Corinth. There were eggs cooked to order for breakfast. Delphi is well worth a visit and the Athina was a perfectly adequate place to stay.
