Owner description: A museum containing some of the sculptures and artifacts excavated from the Oracle.

The museum contains many artifacts from the nearby ruins, including some large statues and figures. If you visit the ruins beforehand, it provides context. If you're into ancient Greek history - and, if you're visiting Delphi, I assume you are -- then you'll enjoy this museum.

Was pretty disappointed with this museum, had hoped to learn more about the Delphi Oracle and the many historic events at Delphi, but instead this felt more like a place where they stored things that archaeologists had found at or near the ruins.

The museum is right next to the Delphi ruins, so you might as well go when you are nearby visiting the ruins, but be ready that it is massively crowded with tour groups being shepherded around, so it is not that nice of an experience.

We really enjoyed the Delphi museum. The artworks are wonderful and you can even take photos inside wit no flash and 'no posing' (???)

The museum could have told a story about Delphi, the Delphic Oracle, its history entvined with Ancient Greece. Instead it just shows sculptures and gold and it all is left very very thin. King Crissos and his visit? The Persians? Athenians? Spartans??? So much lost potential.

A lot of thing like the Spinx are kept in Museum while the location is shown at the ruins site. Buy a combined ticket
