“Very good value for money. Very polite and reliable staff”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

This is a great hotel for a short stay in one the most famous archeological sites in Greece. The facilities are what you would expect from a 2-3 star hotel in this area. Our rooms weren't extraordinary but sufficient for a comfortable rest during our stay. Breakfast was well-prepared and fresh. The accommodation here was worth mentioning because the staff we met were genuinely polite, helpful and reliable. It always makes a difference to the visitor when you feel that you can really count on the hotel staff to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Definitely recommended to anyone considering a visit to this lovely part of Greece.

The problem with over-frequented tourist sites like Delphi is that the staff and managers of hotels quickly become cynical and jaded by the stream of tourists passing through their doors, who they see as a money-stream rather than as individuals. The Parnassus spoke to us in every way of this weary attitude. The lobby was unremittingly ugly and brown. There was the unsmiling receptionist who, as we arrived, barely glanced up from her screen to recite the mantra she had learnt by heart - 'Breakfast at 7, checkout by 12, eat at associate taverna across the road etc etc'. There was nowhere to park the car, nobody to help with luggage, which we dragged ourselves along the hot main street, and shuttled in batches up to the rooms. The rooms were almost completely anonymous; cramped, poky, viewless. For some reason ours had a very bad painting of a view of the Matterhorn. Why? The bathrooms were minuscule, the beds hard and narrow. The staircase was filthy, with dangerous loose stair-rods. The walls were paper-thin, one could hear every grunt through them from the neighbouring rooms. The following morning at 7 there was nobody in the gloomy brown breakfast room, and tables were unlaid. It was help-yourself to a coffee and a crust.
If you are travelling to Greece to see the classical sites, Delphi is a must. The magic of the ancient sanctuary is breathtaking, especially seen - as we did - with the sun rising over Parnassus. But there is a big opportunity here for an enterprising and imaginative hotelier to start a hotel worthy of this fascinating and special World Heritage site. Sadly, the dismal no-frills Parnassos Hotel was a low point in our travels.

We went to this hotel from school last year and our stay was very good. The hotel is right on the main street and it is lovely to have a wander about the city after dinner because it is so small you will always find your way back. The rooms are pretty good, however the bathrooms were a bit small. Breakfast was limited, but delicious and the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our stay in Parnassos was very good, and only ever marred by the smoker sat in the lobby.

We booked a roof top suite with spa bath for 2 nights in May 2014. The hotel is absolutely central in Delphi, great location for exploring the town and just a 10 minute walk to the Delphi Archaeological Museum and Ruins (amazing!). We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady, check-in and check-out were both very straightforward. Our room was on the third floor, a very good size with a double bed and two singles, as well as a balcony at the back. The Wi-Fi worked, but only very near to the main door of the room (we tried on iPhone, HTCOne and iPad) - not, for instance, in the armchairs or by the bed. This wasn't really a problem for us, but might annoy some. We enjoyed our stay very much, notwithstanding the fact that we were really expecting the balcony to face down towards the Bay of Corinth (it in fact faced across to the back of some other properties). This was a bit disappointing. It doesn't say anywhere on the website that the balcony has this view, but the main picture shows this sweeping view down the mountain to Itea and the sea so we sort of assumed! Breakfast was as we expected - some ham and cheese, a selection of bread and sweet breads (not sweetbreads!), Greek yoghurt and tinned fruit. Set us up for the day!

The press does not much reality. The hotel is on the lower street of Delphi and rooms on the upper floor have NO view of the valley. The rooms are incredibly small, the baths are tiny and the walls thin. If you are coming to Delphi, book a hotel on Appolonos Street. Not worth the price.

The manager George and the staff yoda and apostolos were absolutely fantastic. They were all friendly and happy to help. George was extremely professional and willing to accommodate the preferences of his guests. For any mocha lovers out there apostolos at the bar made the best mocha in delphi and so far the best one I have tasted in Greece. The cakes provided for breakfast were all home cooked by yoda and we're absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and climatized to a suitable temperature. It is only a 10 minutes drive for arachova and a 10 minute walk to the delphi archaeological site. From what I saw in delphi this is one of the best hotels in the area.
