Just returned from a fabulous 10 day holiday with our 5 year old son. We booked a deluxe room with a private pool. Both exceeded our expectations. The pool was more private than we expected, as it was not directly neighbouring any others. We also had the sun all day. The views from our room and around the resort were stunning. We loved being wowed by the view every time we opened the curtains in the morning. The atmosphere was very relaxed. It was large enough to be private if you wish but there was the option to be more outgoing and friendly too. There was a great mix of nationalities. Lots of smiles. The staff did work hard, especially in the pangea restaurant, beach bar and Vladimir the lifeguard. I think a few more staff in the Pangea restaurant at peak times would help to relieve a bit of their stress. Kids club was free and our son tried it out a few times when he got bored with us and loved it! We also used their babysitting service. The whole place is beautifully designed, we were made to feel really welcome and we loved it!

Beautiful setting, amazing views from every room, extremely spacious bedrooms and great facilities. Excellent Spa. Mostly what stood out is the exceptional service provided by every single member of staff! Truly a five-star experience!

Good luxury resort, with plenty of scope for improvement.
Some points (pros and cons).
1. Spacious and elegant rooms with integrated deck and mini-pool. Nice sea view.
-Good for children. Rooms are kept reasonably clean.
2. Understaffed. Despite the massive effort from the staff, they are largely outnumbered by the many guests the structure is prepared to accept. Some issues as a consequence:
-table waiting would be better with more staff especially on the beach; long waiting times for a club car, especially for those with disabilities.
-commendable effort from the few staff. *Federico*, the chef, is always at one's disposal to make even miracles, to compensate for flawes with the dinner buffet. *Mihai* one of club car drivers is a really hard working man. It is a shame he is employed in such position. Mihai has a natural inclination for Customer Relationship. With his kind behaviour, he is able to turn an awful day into the nicest one, especially when the reason depends on lack of service from the Resort. *Fotini* is extremely charming. She works with the buffet breakfast. Not only she makes amazing omelettes out of very few ingredients, but is able to make one feel the centre of the world thanks to her wonderful manners.
3. The cable cars used to reach the beach or the pool work better as microwaves. The internal a/c is absolutely non-existant making them off-limits!
4. The beach is overcrowded.
-to find a shade after 9am is nearly impossible.
5. Good SPA. I liked the massage I was given. Must say, could be less expensive!
6. Check the price! This resort can be very expensive compared to the average 5 star in the island.
For the rest I had a lovely 2-weeks holiday, but thanks to the contribution of quite a few individuals, especially Mihai, Federico and Fotini. Thanks to you all.

Just returned from a truly memorable week at Daios Cove with my wife and 2 year old son. The hotel itself was amazing. We had a delux room with pool which was more than big enough for the 3 of us. We were shown around the 2 and 3 bedroom villas by Konstantinos the front office manager which were stunning. We met some fantastic people during the week who made our honeymoon extra special. The staff at the hotel could not do enough for us, especially my son. Vladamyr on the beach, Mariabwho met us on our arrival with cold face cloths and gave us a tour of the hotel, Maria in Pangea restaurant, Adelisa in the beach bar to name but a few. The star of the show however was Nikos who was the manager of Pangea restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for Nikos. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our 2 year old son who is a very fussy eater. Nikos went above and beyond expectations. The only downside of the week was having to leave. A truly memorable week. We cant wait to go back again next year.

This is a really nice place - we ended up in a room with a pool after the first room we were given received no sun at all. The hotel staff sorted this out very quickly even if it did cost more money. We'd booked through Scott Dunn and thought we were getting a room with a pool, but this wasn't the case. We also booked the Scott Dunn kids club for our daughter - needn't have done this as the hotel provides their own complimentary kids club, so disappointed in the sales spiel from Scott Dunn although their resort staff were very good. Their head office staff were less accommodating when i asked them to split the cost of the room upgrade. Also you have to be 16 to use the Spa pool. Generally though this is a very good place

Room Tip: Make sure your room gets some sun

Just returned and overall very pleased with the resort. Views are amazing, and the facilities are excellent. We had a family room with plunge pool which was a lovely quiet place to relax when we wanted some private time. For half board, we usually ate in the indoor white room to avoid eating outdoors which was our only niggle, too many people seem to smoke at breakfast, dinner and by the pool or beach, which we didn't like, so our only recommendation would be to have a separate area for smoking ! But on the plus side, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and Migueles running the daily fitness class was just awesome, I managed to go to 7 classes and enjoyed all of them!

Room Tip: higher levels have amazing views over the bay, the funicular lift is fun, there are some lovely walk...

We stayed in a two bed villa, which was perfect for the family and our young daughter. They had provided a cot, pushchair, high chair, changing table and nappies for us as well as stair gates and fencing around the pool. It was really safe for her.

The service in general was amazing by the staff, with a very clean and well manicured resort.

On arrival if your room is ready it would be preferable to go to it, as generally families will want to settle their children before doing the full check-in.

The resort was a lot bigger than it seemed from the website and when we arrived their was a large American convention there, which seemed daunting but was actually ok as we tended to be using the facilities at different times.

In general the food was excellent and we found the poolside bar being the best value and quality for lunchtime. There are some disparities with pricing and beware of ordering fish at the tavern, as we got stung for a huge bill which was not clear and the most expensive we have ever had. It had no comparison to the same fish in other restaurants in the resort, which was very strange.

As we had a pool, which we had heated, we didn't use the main pool. Beware as they are not heated and so will be very fresh! It was worth heating ours, as we could then use it unlike others who didn't.

The spa was excellent and we had many relaxing massages.

An issue with the location and not the resort is that it is very windy.

Our best meal of the holiday was when we ordered room service, which we highly recommend even if it is a bit more to pay on your bill. It is a different menu and with the table cloth, candles etc.. was very romantic.

I would recommend the resort as we had a lovely time.

Room Tip: Try to pick the suites or rooms furthest away from the main resort areas.
