Ok. This is not a five star accommodation, no doubt, and it takes a moment to accept the fact that your bathroom was build in the twenties and haven't seen a decorator since. The kitchenette is rather challenging if you actually want to cook something (silly you, you're on holiday!) and there isn't a lot of space to store your food shopping. And if you want it very clean, then you better do it yourself. What else, ah yes, the road can be a bit noisy at times. You won't get far without a car; Greek roads are not the safest to walk on.
But the view from the apartments is to die for, the goats in the opposite field provide a lovely soundtrack to your holiday with their bells, the bed is very comfortable and the pool area is very pleasant. You can test your Swedish or Welsh by borrowing books from reception's library. The staff are friendly and helpful, and may, occasionally, invite you for a small glass of homemade raki.
The weather will probably be glorious, so after a couple of days you'll feel like all worries of this world are leaving you. You will happily introduce Greeks' laid back attitude to life and ignore small things of no importance, such as fridge pretending to be a launching space shuttle. After two weeks you will have a serious problem with leaving the place, the bells, and the Swedish literature.
I'd happily go back to Kalithea. Really good value for money.
Good advice: do your food shopping in Lidl's in Agios; food prices in other supermarkets in Agios Nikolaos and Elunda are just ridiculous.
